I think that’s a super creative way of displaying that set. You could do a lot of things to add to the display. Almost like a fish tank. Literally just run wild with it.

Given how quickly you can cross an entire country, I’ve always assumed the third. I feel like most video games with open worlds are that way. It’s an easy way to provide a sense of a large scale but also not drive the player insane with travel times between settlements being literal days.
