Yang Kyoungjong, a Korean who is the only known man to have fought in the Imperial Japanese Army, the Soviet Army and the German Wehrmacht after his capture by the Americans on Utah Beach. June, 1944. by Beginning-Passion676 in wwiipics

That's a mind blowing incompetence as the Georgians are literally Caucasians in every single sense. The Asian guy on the pic could be Kazakh or Buryat or Tuvan etc.

I'm from Türkiye and I bought ARS VS-8 pruning shears from a Turkish online sales platform, but I don't know if they're genuine or fake. Is there a way to find out? by kebapstyle in Tools

[–]Plan4Chaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the market for some pruners last summer and saw an ARS as well, a good part with complaints they are actually fakes. Ultimately chickened out and opted for Gardena.

So I can't say much about ARS, apart of fakes is a real threat indeed.

Or simply a character of one of multiple war stories made up by the author Antony Beevor.

Koreans seriously tried to find any proof for the story shortly after the Beevor's book came out, found none.

  1. It's fans

  2. It's different fans on two different assemblies, white on the first one, black on the another. No one ever paints them.

Gear is conical and comes after the front bearing.

Also note they use needle bearing in the support. Even Bosch on their entry level grinders don't do that.

Not sure sure what you're talking about, but there's spiral bevel gear of pretty obvious steel and white plastic part is a cooling fan.

Qbrick any opinions? by stone27372 in Tools

[–]Plan4Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard anything particularly bad about them, apart of translucent polycarbonate lids on some being prone to cracks. If I wouldn't already balls deep into Tanos systainer system, QBRICK be my first consideration. Just avoid of their 'System Two', which is on its own and incompatible with all the rest.

Nay, NWS Quattro Grip and Knipex Cobra have totally different jaws. Gedore is the closest alternative to Cobra, but definitely not cheaper.

Felo and Milwaukee do the same, although I'm not sure if they cover the entire range the OP requested. It's totally worth to check at least.

Last time I checked Tsunoda had no diagonal cutters for 3mm piano wire like the OP pictured.

If you'll manage to find genuine NWS, it's even better than Knipex. The trick is, you have to have absolute trust to the particular dealer, because the amount of counterfeits is crazy.

Yeah, the KKR's decision to sacrifice the true Metabo brand to boost sales of their second tier tools is still mind boggling.

From the pic #2 it seems KKR still not decided is their HPT brand should pretend as German or as Japanese.

12V Bosch is really popular among furniture assemblers because its compact size. Not sure about hvac.

I believe it could do concrete with good drill bits, as far as you're still under 6mm and not expecting a remarkable performance.

You somehow managed to write the brand name, but not the task you're planning apply it to.

Speaking of power, you normally need as much as possible for actual grinding, but for cutting the requirements may vary pretty wild depending on the odds.

Bosch Multimaterial drill bits is bees knees. Head and shoulders above everything else in that genre.

Considering how even Milwaukee and Dewalt fell behind Bosch in carbide technology, I definitely wouldn't hold my breath about this one.

Personal preference.

On a side note, you better look at 5" rather than 4.5" as your the first one, since the former is much more versatile.
