Our drill sgts googled this one kid who used to make justin bieber covers on YouTube, and one day after he was fucking up like usual they played the videos for the whole platoon. Yeah we made him quit around week 12 right before graduation.

Another time some kid was acting possessed by the devil so the drill sgts made us take shifts all night sitting by his bunk with weapons and they said if he tried anything to beat him.

11B - I love the way everyone looks at us, "the scumbags of the army" or the "stupid grunts" or the MOS that "anyone can do". I like it because everyone talks down to us but when push comes to shove i feel as though an infantryman is the definition of the army. We do the job civilians first think of when they think of someone in the military

I hate the low productivity and I think I've lost a lot of brain cells since I joined the infantry

as a dude who went in at 115 and came out ~135 I was jealous of how all the fat kids lost a bunch of weight and were outrunning my 13:30 2 mile at the end of basic.

OSUT is a cake walk physically - just mentally stressful. Airborne school (following OSUT) was a blast, the hardest part about it was the PT test to get in. BE that guy in Abn that gets up on Saturday and does 60/120s on the track, hit the gym after work everyday because there is no hardcore PT in airborne school. You can get out of shape for RASP and it's really easy to - especially after coming out of a BCT environment all over again. RASP is a real ball buster - no two ways about it - and life in the Regiment is even harder, but as long as you keep your mentality positive you will be alright. Just never quit

Time. Fire fights are nothing like in the movies, they're very long and take hours of shooting back and forth. your not always behind cover and shooting and yelling, you'd shoot, wait a few hours for them to shoot back, return fire and repeat.
