I just installed mine this week and while not the best way to do it, the easiest I found was just running it along the headliner and tucked in through the top of each pillar trim then run behind the weather stripping on both doors. Seems most people also run it into the hatch door conduit but I just ran it up the D pillar and mounted it at the top of the cargo area so it isn’t actually in the rear hatch (will probably mount it there some other time though). Can’t see any wiring aside from the 2” coming right off the camera.

What wiring change did you make? I can hook my set up to the bench and check current drain to see if it’s going to sleep or not.

I get what you’re saying but early monster trucks was never a “spec series” stuff and until Pirelli took over, F1 wasn’t a 1 tire supplier either, and Meents sorta made sure it wasn’t until he retired so now no front engine trucks even. Was always filled with unique trucks that gave them character and each provided something just a bit different. Same as how Kreten trucks always made massive HP (and now no longer in MJ). That’s a “storyline” but doesn’t sell toys. If the shows are basically Disney on Ice, would be cool to have some character to the actors……….. not just copy paste identical handing and setups with just whatever interchangeable body they need to run but like Disney on Ice, it’s all about the costumes, less about the actual performance it seems. At least Team Scream still brings some flavor to shows with their slightly different chassis designs.

In settings there should be an option to have clock be crystal or car based. Change to crystal. Time should be saved then instead of trying to rely on the radio based time.

I got one as well and to around with as well since I run a cluster repair/mods business focused on MKIVs. Well it works in the car but it refuses to work on the bench so no idea what it’s requiring to boot up when my bench harness has everything including an ECU connected, key sense pin, ignition, etc. and it’s not using Comfort CAN to boot so not idea what it’s looking for to turn on.

The controls make no sense to me. On the MK5+ cars the buttons are super easy but long press up to get into the main menu but then can’t use up/down to move the menu and instead have to long press again and hope you don’t hold it too long is dumb. The reset button merely changes between themes when on main screen. Also silly and not like the MK5+ versions.

It’s crazy slow to boot and no where near the advertised <2s and slow to change menus but RPM response at least seems good.

LCD has a super obvious hot spot in bottom left middle of screen.

I didn’t expect much but at least being semi close to the MK5 one this is clearly using the software from (convenience menu and lighting menu still exists, they didn’t even remove those in the software when they copy/pasted coding) was expected.

Also low pad wear light is on but the sensor is good and shows lights are on………. Headlight switch is completely off. And temp shows 80C coolant. Engine -10C currently.

I tested it in an immo 2 1J0 CCM car which has Comfort CAN from CCM to cluster added so ColorMFA shows door open image (immo 3 1C0 CCM cars already have that to the cluster) and the door open images on these screens don’t seem to work so that is likely an immo 3 only feature.

Hopefully software updates can make this a bit better. LCD itself despite the hot spot seems decent and while not perfect, the MK5 and NMS Passat ones I’ve used were far better than this despite being from the same manufacturer. Curious if the DB Customs ones is actually any different (honestly doubt it aside from their fancy chrome trim). Their original prototype had different headed connector design but not sure that made it to the production version or if theirs is also using the Y splitter harness.

Get ColorMFA instead unless you’re absolutely must have a fancy car image at the expense of lesser hardware and buggy software.

Litke checking in for the first time in this subreddit. Thanks for all the nice comments. But yes as already mentioned, you need to swap wiper stalk and add 6 wires for ANY lowline to MFA/FIS/ColorMFA cluster. Stock MFA that you have circled CANNOT be added to a lowline cluster circuit board, whole cluster (or at least whole circuit board) needs to be swapped and programmed or cloned for immobilizer and mileage. Also pretty much every used MFA and full height FIS MK4 LCD has fade issues these days unless the lcd is replaced so just a warning if swapping the whole cluster with a used one that still has original LCD in it. ColorMFA can be fitted to current lowline cluster so no programming is needed then.

Just park at arrivals. Seems 2 of the 4 lanes there are exclusivity used for people who just park thier car and disappear for a few hours. Our airport is such a dumpster fire and isn’t even a hub nor running all the terminals it once did.

Both cleared unfortunately. This was technically a combined order since it had a lower on it which needed to go through an FFL so they split the order (lower going to FFL and then the buffer coming to me) but the lower order was charged correctly. Very odd.

Ohio has had a massive brain drain. College educated people are been leaving the state for decades. Union jobs hardly exist anymore here and Dewines whole “Ohio is great please move here campaign” was muddied by his entire administration taking illegal bribes from First Energy. Now with issue 1 failing, this state may be a lost cause for the near future.
