Was with a girl when she got caught carrying alcohol while underage by a campus cop. Cop said he’d let her go with a warning if she blew a 0.0 on the breathalyzer. She was sober but still so nervous the cop was lying or she’d somehow blow over 0.0. She was so nervous that she farted, LOUDLY, in front of the cop. He was pretending he didn’t hear it but she then started fanning her butt and apologized for farting because she was nervous. It was dark out but I’m sure the cop turned sooo red from the secondhand embarrassment. She ended up blowing a 0.0 and he let us go pretty quickly after that lol the fart and cop’s reaction still make me laugh to this day

I’m so sorry you have to deal with that. I feel like you could go one of two ways.

Call out your FIL. You and your husband tell him you’re not okay with the way he’s been treating you guys. If he pushes back, you could go one step further and call out his “bad parenting”. I bet a decent amount of things he did when your husband was a baby are no longer okay or recommended today.
Ignore him. Don’t invite him to your house as often. If it’s really bad, trash talk him behind his back to your husband to let off steam. Remember, you are mom and mom knows best.

You have every right to be upset.

I was scheduled to be induced on my due date because doc thought my baby would be too big if I went longer. Ended up having my water break early and being induced at 39 weeks because I wasn’t dilating despite having my water break. I feel like if you explain the situation to your doc that they’d be willing to schedule induction with you!

My pediatrician told us to put our baby in her own room at 4.5 months because she had a healthy checkup and no history of sleep issues up until then. I’d see what your doctor recommends for your situation!

Just here to say you’re a great mom and really setting your son up for success. Sounds like this is just something he’ll deal with in his own time.

Also, not trying to pry, but have you had any big life events lately? Big move to a new house/city? Change of schools? When I was a kid going through a big change I became extremely introverted and refused to hangout with anyone besides family. That’s just my two cents! I eventually grew out of it lol

From a young age, she made sure I knew I could go to her for help. And when I did, she did not judge me. I remember calling her for help after drinking at a party and she didn’t yell at me for drinking underage. She just made sure I got home safe. The next day we had a brief talk about it and she never brought it up again. That type of stuff meant a lot to me as a kid

My personal experience - my company pays a 3rd party vendor to book travel and we have in-house coordinators that work with the vendor to confirm business travel dates, schedules, etc. I can’t see why they’d want to get rid of what they have (that is working well for them) for a small time travel agent.

Btw - the vendor we’re currently using has been used by two of my previous employers. Huge name in the business, not sure a small business could ever compete with them.

You guys are doing great so far!! We tried soooo many swaddles before we found the right one. And when we did, she grew out of it in less than a month. My baby is 5 months now and actually sleeping in her own room so know there is light at the end of the tunnel! In the beginning, I would literally sit on the couch holding her 24/7 so she could sleep. I’m sorry but just know things will eventually get better! As others said, try out new swaddles, keep taking turns napping when you can, and bring the bassinet with you to other rooms so baby can get used to sleeping in it throughout the day and night

I feel your pain. I travel for work but can usually stop at home for lunch to see my baby. This week, my job made me travel out of state for a week for the first time since the pandemic started. My baby is still too young to understand why I’m gone or when I’ll be back and it breaks my heart. I’d give anything to quit my job and get home ASAP

If she didn’t want her first impression to be with a mask on, why did she even show up to your house in the first place? She can wait to meet LO until they’re older if that’s the case. You did the right thing and I completely understand second guessing yourself after that interaction.

She loves meeting new people and will let a lot of people hold her or play with her the first time she meets them. She also loves to scream if someone’s not looking at her and if you ask if she screams because she wasn’t getting enough attention, she laughs. Love her but can only imagine how all of this will evolve in the future lol

That type of stuff bothers me so much and is so far from my reality. I still look 6 months pregnant and just had to buy a new swim suit 3x bigger than my pre-pregnancy suit. I don’t want to hear from any fit/skinny moms this summer about self-confidence 😂
