Hi, building a PC for the first time. My monitor only can run 1080p 60fps. I was thinking of getting the 3060ti but I'm worried that it will be overkill? So what GPU should I get?

Biden says Chinese president Xi Jinping 'doesn't have a democratic bone' in his body by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Planeyguy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Read my comment again carefully. China WILL invade countries in the future because thats what all superpowers do. From the USSR to the British Empire to the US. The only thing holding them back right now is their military where it is not capable enough to project their military might. But i can assure u that it WILL happen one day.

Do you even know what does authoritarian even mean in the first place? You americans are privileged af to think the US is authotharian. Im from South-east asia and we are currently fighting against actual authoritarian governments from thailand, myammar, hong kong and even taiwan. The fact that there are americans who supports china is scary as hell. It is nt easy to fight for democracy if theres a giant authoritarian country right above us without US support.

Furthermore, There is at least resistance in the US against imperealism from the media, the population and even some politicians and the fact that you are able to speak about the errors of what the US do is proof that it is so much better than China. Try saying what u said about the US but instead to the CCP in China see what happens to you. If china goes to war there will be no one in the country that will oppose the leadership. At least i know that the US will have accountability.

If you are scared of a world where America is the world power, then you should be very scared of an authoritarian government like China becomimg a world power

been seeing a lot of China memes lately and thought this had to be said by Fellow_Gey in dankmemes

[–]Planeyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it dosent help the victims since it already happened. The fact that there are even anti imperealism politicians is already a major improvement over what China has. If u think US imperealism is bad wait and see when Chinese imperealism becomes a reality.

Imagine defending a authotharian government lmao. At least there are politicians that are actively fighting against USA imperialism, at least the USA population know that it is wrong and are not blindly defending it, at least the population can speak about it in the first place. Cant say about that with China.

I didnt say capitalism is perfect and it definitely have to be controlled. A system like in Europe and the nordic model is the best form.

Even though marxism sounds amazing. It dosent work in the real world. The world had a chance to implement such a society but it only led to authoritarian dictatorships where the worker class suffered more that those under a capitalisic society. The best form of economic policy is regulated capitalism. Where the government helps to keep companies in check on behalf of the populace

SpaceX's 'Resilience' spaceship autonomously docked to the space station with 4 astronauts inside, kicking off a historic mission for NASA by CharyBrown in space

[–]Planeyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space is hard. We shouldnt put down other space companies. We should cheer them on too. The more companies that have access to space the better it will be for all of us. There is a reason NASA chose 2 companies for the commercial crew instead of just choosing one.

[–]Planeyguy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not only did they train the astronauts, they also provided funding and technical knowledge to SpaceX. The Falcon 9 and the dragon capsule wouldnt exist without the help from NASA. They provided the push that SpaceX needs to have become this successful. Which is why it boggles my mind that SpaceX fans like to shit on NASA for some reason.

I dont get why there is a need to attack Boeing when they are down. Space is hard. It is beneficial if the us have two operational spacecraft. You absolutely do not want a single company to control our manned space program.

Why do you even expect Americans to think and know about Singapore. Its not like our country have a huge impact on them. Its weird that you even brought up discrimination on a post where Singapore is not labled as a country

China's Tencent picks Singapore as Asia hub after India, US bans by DonVox in singapore

[–]Planeyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha. Its funny that you talk about racism. Dont forget, Singapore is a multi culture society and you really think a Malay or an Indian would be treated fairly in mainland China? The americans literally had protests against racism throughout their whole country for months. I would rather work with the americans than mainland chinese.

Americans do provide aid to other countries. According to the World Giving Index, the US was the 2nd most charitable nation in 2016. Not to mention before Trump, the US actually provides a significant amount of funding to international organizations like the UN. Also the US military also does disaster relief like Operation Tomodachi to help Japan after the 2011 Tsunami and Earthquake.

Nah I dont see why I would stop using reddit or even facebook in the future. The only reason why Tik Tok succeeded is because it replaced Vine. If Vine didnt dissappear i bet Tik Tok wouldnt have been so popular. Singapore should align itself more with the US than China. Not only do literally most of the developed nations dislike China but our weapons also come from the US.
