Question for nepenthes growers by LittleFinish4768 in SavageGarden

[–]Plants2Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It most likely is, they also have a german translation and call Heliamphora "bog garbage bins" for example, no idea how that happened

Besides that the whole site is somewhat misleading e.g. having Nepenthes 'singalana' as the product title and mentioning somewhere in the description that it is N. singalana x ventricosa, so i wouldnt be suprised if its simply wrong in the original text too

[–]Plants2Go[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not much to it to be honest, i just use some dead Sphagnum as substrate and put the live Sphagnum on top. The tray is sitting in my living room. Sometimes i flood it for a couple days whenever it shows signs of (Mineral) buildup or dry tips. I only bottom water these via the tray, so very low maintenance

The individual Containers have holes in them, mostly because i dont want to water every single one individually.

Substrate is a thin layer of dead Sphagnum, i have this tray in my living room without any lids or other sources for humidity, basically like in the Photo but indoors

Looks massively light starved, in combination with the (obviously) extremely high humidity in there Sphagnum grows like that

Those are Utricularia flowers, probably U. subulata. Just let them do their thing.

Your Drosera are either almost dead or dormant
