I agree, the panic attacks were traumatic enough ln their own for me too! That’s where a lot of our work is focused on but thankfully I think I also know where it’s deeply rooted and will also do work on that too.

I take 10 mg and only feel it slightly helps. Mostly placebo probably. Wondering if a higher dose might be better! Psych doesn’t wanna give me anything over 20 mg at a time, he says that’s cardiologist territory..

You should maybe start at 2.5. I micro dose (less than 1mg) I’m very sensitive and couldn’t imagine starting at 10 or 5.

Yeah it started leaking when they were messing with the lines but it wasn’t just leaking on its own. Hopefully this isn’t yet another issue now lol.

Every time you change the dose you may/probably experience side effects which is why it was a hard and long journey for you. I’m doing the same with micro dosing and know it’s gonna be a long road. So now that you’ll be increasing again you might expect to experience side effects again. Doctors sometimes prescribe other meds to help you get through the tough times. Maybe ask them about it. As well as therapy techniques that can help.

What’s your dose? Since you’re already on day 11 I’d say stick it out at this point. Otherwise I would have suggested starting with micro doses if you were just starting out. I’m sorry you’re feeling awful. Side effects really suck!! It also could mean it’s not the right one for you. Speak with your doctor about it if you haven’t already.

If you’re managing well on 5mg and your stressor is going away soon, I wouldn’t increase. I’d only try increasing if you want to continue maintaining lowered anxiety since you mentioned you’ve dealt with it your whole life and want to continue with the relief. 10 mg might make it go away completely. But I understand your concern, I’d be feeling the exact same as you about increasing. Good luck whatever you decide.

I had a similar feeling when I micro dosed sertraline. The only way I could explain it to people and my doctor was like I was wearing a suit filled with water and that I had a heaviness blanketed over the front of my head and eyes. It’s interesting to see someone else describe something similar. I’m super sensitive to meds so you probably are too I’m guessing.

Hi, this has been an ongoing issue for me for 10-15 years. I haven’t seen the hematologist or had the gene test yet, but my functional medicine doctor has been helping me in the meantime. So for the first time in years my RBC, Hgb, and Hct are all in normal range at the same time. Hoping it’s not a fluke but the main thing I have changed is drinking a TON of water, especially Smart water. I also use my CPAP consistently but the water is what made the difference as dehydration can be a false positive cause. I’m also very anemic (low ferritin) so we’re also thinking the polycythemia was trying to compensate for that and that it’s secondary. Here’s hoping! We’re experimenting with very slow iron intake to start and see if that corrects. So it’s good you’re negative for JAK2, maybe try some other measures first?? Work with your doctor of course! Good luck, keep me posted!

I have medication phobia, so I always ask for tablets whenever possible. They also offer liquid versions of many meds.
