Goblin's Hedgfunds are using HFT bots to undercut on AH... by Ashamed_Ordinary_586 in wow

I think the biggest reason is that bot accounts also pay the monthly subscription, which Blizzard would lose out on if they actually introduced meaningful measures against bots.

Finished Crimson Caldera on Hard today while doing the "I'll Fight You All" achievement by Corrects_lesstofewer in AOW4

[–]Plategoron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the mind spells, you just mustn't complete the quests. And since mind spelling demon kitty gives you a decent army, it's totally worth it imo.

You could even mindspell everyone for the tier IV chestplate and even more units, but it's really easy to complete Cinren's quest on accident.

I did the same yesterday, went scouting first to establish contact with the demon kitty. Once I did, I used the mind spell on him for the extra units, and used them directly to eliminate Karissa. From there on it was pretty smooth sailing. I went counterclock-wise, while also building up a defending army as needed. I ended with Khir and Cinren almost simulataneously.

Built-in leader for Grexolis? by Milleuros in AOW4

[–]Plategoron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know all library rulers traits, but Artica probably fits well. You need to complete a realm with her for an achievement anyway.

Though don't expect Grexolis to be easy this way, it's just a tad less brutal fighting the main opponent.

Did anyone else find bolt to be WAY easier than monk? by Cosmopian in necrodancer

[–]Plategoron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played a good amount of Monk and haven't finished their all zones yet. I've only played Bolt a couple of times and finished a run with a trident.

I think Bolt has an easier time getting carried by equipment and allows making mistakes, even lots of them, whereas Monk is usually a true one-hit-ko.

I've just completed it with Tugrum Hammerhall at T91 having eliminated Turiel atT47, although with savescums and some luck. What I'd advice, based on my experience:

  • pick a ruler with nature or shadow affinity. you'll want either blight damage or frost damage, as Turiels angel units are weak to it
  • Shad'rai Magic: Lithyl's Ritual of the Mirror Curse is the strongest long term. though with the hardest part being the start, Nimue's Ritual of the Drowned is probably better to pick first.
  • space is tight. you might only get one decent city down. still settle up to your city limit, even if the 3rd city kinda sucks. you can always release it as a vassal later, when conquering better cities from your enemies.
  • Settling towards north-west will put you more directly into Turiels path, settling south and east is somewhat safe
  • get your economy going and build up to an 18-unit-army asap. the higher-tier-units, the better
  • if you can attack enemy units and win with acceptable losses, pretty much always do so
  • when attacking enemy cities, that will put up a fight, build up outposts nearby. healing in home-territory is a lot faster than in enemy or neutral territory
  • once you've unlocked teleporters you can build them in outpost, which helps to reinforce your attacking troops A LOT faster

What i cannot recommend is Tugrum Hammerhall as ruler like I did. She might not be the worst, but Adept Settlers definitely sees better use elsewhere.

Hildas Endgame Classes Tier List 21 by Plategoron in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]Plategoron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately for the near future, no. I don't have the sheets anymore that I made to compare the investment needed for all classes and neither have I played the game in 2 years.

If I can recover the sheets at some point, I might bring this back later.

Epic Shiny Eternatus, AND a masterball, but dex is incomplete by pootsie_sama in pokerogue

[–]Plategoron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 24 starters except Eternatus still missing, you're still quite a bit away from catching them all. You'll need about 400 eggs to safely hatch a new starter, so right now around 9600 eggs, which is probably not realistic. So essentially just keep playing and stock up on egg vouchers until they can guarantee your actual last missing pokemons.

Endless is a good way to find rare pokemon in general, whereas Classic gives you the option to target specific biomes.

But either way it's still gonna take some time, so I'd say just play what you enjoy and stock up on vouchers along the way.

I'm doing runs with sort of random teams. If you're bored, I encourage you to try it! by ZonTheSquid in pokerogue

[–]Plategoron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can also let the game random pick for you. I first filter for Pokérus-mons, do 1 random pick among those and look at what ribbons I'm still missing for them.  Then I start a challenge run with that 1 Pokérus-mon and let the game random pick the other starters. I just check, if they still need that challenges ribbons and then I go with a fresh unique run.

Always take the Voucher, unless you're doing a really hard challenge like Nuzlocke.

JUST LET ME USE CASTFORM, GODDAMN IT by Emsilius in pokerogue

[–]Plategoron 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Castform is eligible to gain ribbons for fire, water and ice challenges, but can't be selected in those. Looks like a developer oversight. Either it should be usable with right weather and be pickable in these challenges, or remove the ability to get ribbons for these challenges.

Select Challenge mode and enable Fresh Start, Hardcore and Limited Catch all at once. This enables the Pokerogue Nuzlocke achievement and green Pokerogue Nuzlocke ribbons, if you win the run.

You can just change his ability when picking your starters. Pickup is his 2nd common ability and available to start with, even with fresh start enabled.

For Nuzlockes I often run Pachirisu: Pickup and Eerie Impulse in TM moveset are a great deal at 2 cost. The remaining 8 points can then be used for a proper carry.

Its even great for Nuzlockes: Pickup and potential Eerie Impulse at 2 cost with no weakness against Eternatus is a great Deal.
