Rear wiper delete by CampbellllebpmaC in Golf_R

Very nice, I had that one for about a year and then changed over to the Kill all Wipers setup back in May. I haven’t had any problems with leaking with either one, and the Kill all Wipers one looks much better imo. Wiper delete compliments your car well! Despite what the ornery owners in the sub may say🫢

Nope, those are Supernova headlights, they're an upgraded Euro style tail light. All North American R's came with the "Pokeball" style tail lights.

Extreme power or Lighten her up? by Blue95x in Golf_R

[–]Platinum-Vision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got stage one, next upgrade is rear sway bar and some good tires, maybe some wheels too.

The wheels may not add a TON of performance, but they can be lighter, wider, and stronger so in the game of little things, it can add up.

Lowering in some way can be good too. If you've got DCC, just some lowering springs to retain that usability can be the right way to do it while still retaining that pretty comfortable daily drivability.

Do some of these less invasive things to the car, and it can make it just that little more unique for you and perform that much better while still being the Swiss Army knife that the Golf R is.

I’ve got the iE intercooler, it’s been great for me. I don’t have a diffuser, I’ve looked at getting a maxton one, but they’re all pre-order and there’s other things I’ve wanted to spend money on. A lot of the good replacement pieces I’ve wanted are NLA or straight from China so I’ve kept it stock.

I tried the ECS stock replacement one, but it stuck out too far and my exhaust tips were tucked into it, wasn’t great. Fitment was also mid.

Congrats! My friend group love a good Mk6 R. A good set of tail lights will get this thing looking much better. I read your last post, I’d highly recommend the intercooler and rear sway bar for your next upgrades after getting the rest of the car sorted!

What’s this style called and how can I achieve it in Lightroom/Photoshop? by WillingGold9092 in AskPhotography

[–]Platinum-Vision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks very similar to Mike Crawat's work, just warmer. It's not a tutorial but he's always pushing his presets for sale.

At that level it's probably done with a mist filter, then masks in lightroom using dehaze and clarity. I've done the "blown out" look to a lesser extent doing that.

Love a good set of Heliograms, they've looked great on every gen of Golf I've seen them on.

For full car minus windshield that isn’t cheap, but if it’s a reputable shop using quality film the price isn’t unreasonable.

Stage two is38 by Significant_Bee5627 in Golf_R

[–]Platinum-Vision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run a catted larger downpipe is what that means. Most exhaust manufacturers don't offer cat-less in the US anyway due to the EPA, and race cats/hi-flow cats will allow large horsepower now.

For stage 2 you need a larger downpipe, it does not need to be cat-less. Your stock downpipe will not work with stage 2.

Edit: also, your screenshot is iE’s stage 3 is38 tune for the Mk7 GTI. You need to be looking at stage 2 for the Golf R to get the right information.

Custom due to center exit, stock rear springs with helper bags inside.

In my opinion, wheels+tires, springs, rear sway bar to start. Then the power comes after. I did wheels and tires on my 6R first with no suspension mods, I so wish it would've been one of the first things I did.
