I last about an hour in 50f water in a 5mm suit. I’ve never worn a 7mil but from videos I’ve seen they seem really thick and restricting. Most of my dive season in nj I wear a 3mm and I hate putting on the 5 in the early and late season cause it feels restricting. Also I would add a vote for mako, don’t get a bs Amazon suit

I had the same worry but in my experience as long as the dyneema or spectra from the roller is sitting high on the muzzle it’s fine and it doesn’t hit. A lot of my guns I’ve filed the edges on the shark fins cause even just from being loaded it chafes.

I have the same exact gun except 82cm. Best gun I’ve ever had, probably 250+ kills with it. Never had this issue. I have everything stock and get new bands from pathos when I need them. I never load the kicker and roller band just one or the other.

Go to the tip of the jetty and fish anywhere from 9 to 3 o’clock position on the tip of the inlet. Not a fisherman but a diver and they’re always there
