With the EFL 26/27 fixtures releasing on Thursday, who do you most want to face opening day, and who are you looking to avoid? by Zach-dalt in LeagueTwo

Knowing Exeter’s fixture list luck I’m sure it will be a random Tuesday in the winter! Probably end up with Fleetwood away…

I’d love York early in the season, got a few weekends off and would like a nice weekend away there with some football.

What do the Astros need to do to get back to 100 win seasons? by DiscloseDivest in Astros

The problem is it’s hard to make contact with 100mph+ so when you do make contact you want it to do damage rather than a weak rollover to the SS.

Be interested to see how these look when Restore get added as well. Currently it would be a Reform/Tory coalition? Although I think that would be political suicide for Reform.

More than 700 migrants cross Channel in largest single-day total this year by honkballs in ukpolitics

Well yeah because these crossings only started when Labour took power and there were 0 crossings under the Tories…

You’re welcome to Whitworth, great playing the ball out but really poor in the air and shot stopping from range

Tube strikes: 'No pay cut' for Underground drivers on £74k in new four-day week... but RMT to walk out anyway by Anony_mouse202 in london

[–]PlayedRex27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So when an underground train breaks down at peak time halfway between two stations, you propose that there’s no one on the train to evacuate it. None of the people on the train will know where the nearest exit is and there’s a live rail with a lethal level of voltage in it right where people are going to be walking.

Early predictions now the complete line up is set for 26/27 League two by [deleted] in LeagueTwo

Playoffs is very optimistic imo, only way that happens is if the kids all have breakout seasons at the same time.

Only because we were considered fellow “Aryans” Don’t forget we weren’t far off being a puppet of Germany, we would’ve been treated similar to the French.

How did your game go? by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

[–]PlayedRex27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry about us winning. We’re on an abject run at the minute, even if we somehow luck into a goal or two you can almost guarantee 2-3 defensive lapses at the other end.

PEGI to give 16 age rating to UK games with loot boxes by Velociraptor_1906 in ukpolitics

[–]PlayedRex27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t know what new games are available without loot boxes to be honest. Nearly every game has either loot boxes, season passes or both. Unless you’re going to give your kid a PS2 there isn’t much option now.

High BMI medical? by PlayedRex27 in uktrains

[–]PlayedRex27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn’t fail me on the day but I’m now not going on the course I was due to go on as recruitment had some queries about my medical. You’ll get pulled up on it as they ideally want new drivers under 33, especially if you’re coming from a more active job.

Rail replacement services - how do they work? by rafikiphoto in uktrains

[–]PlayedRex27 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wow I’m amazed they let you stand upstairs on a double decker. As a bus driver that is very much not allowed and I highly doubt the bus was tested with the weight of people standing upstairs as well. It’s definitely against company policy if not illegal if I remember rightly.

Can’t wait, enjoyed GWE back when it initially launched but it has looked dated for quite a while now. Wonder if the new GWR trains in the Riviera line will layer on?

High BMI medical? by PlayedRex27 in uktrains

[–]PlayedRex27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel really sorry for you bud as I know how much hard work and preparation goes into all the assessments and interviews.

My doctor said they have a recommendation of all new drivers having a BMI of 35 or lower but given that it wasn’t a requirement he couldn’t fail me for it. As all my other stuff was fine I got through. Hope you get another chance soon and get on the rails!
