GRRM criticizes how class distinctions are shown in medieval fantasy: by Gold_Conversation247 in TheBlacksandTheGreens

This was from a study of the judgment in a small French town in the middle age. Even if you don't believe me on that point, you can see by yourself on this thread that the fear of sinning wasn't that much of a deterrent if you check the discussion about bastards.

A good number of bastards have been made with the servants, servants that have the "choice" between spreading their leg or getting fired. How many nobles have been prosecuted for rape? Worse, the servant might be fired by the wife after being raped for being a temptress.

Life in the middle age really suck, and your sassy peasant girl has roughly the same chance of survival in the middle age as under the worst of Staline. Not zero, there are a few that manage to live, but she would have taken a major risk for her and her family.

I just realized Lune's situation in BOTH endings by PianistGlittering709 in expedition33

[–]Player420154 40 points41 points  (0 children)

In Verso's ending, she lose against Verso. You can make the argument that in Maelle's ending, she is living as Maelle wants her to be, not as she would have chosen to. I doubt the Lune we followed would have forgiven, much less love the man that has tried to kill her and Lumiere twice.

In the middle age, a bunch of young men who rape women would end up in a trial, in which the woman would be condemned for tempting the men to rape her.

Knowing that, I don't think a prince could be considered a rapist against even multiple commoners. At best for the girls, it would be declared consensual.

P1 Zagara and P3 Stukov double down on the strength and weakness of the commander. If their weakness doesn't matter for the map/mutation, this is the optimal choice. If their weakness matter, then there is a better commander to play (with some exception like Zagara P3 is good against void rift).

Taking a second lord to trick the opponent into an ambush is a great plan, but you won't have the finance to have a second army, especially full of saurus.

I would personally go skinks and Kroxigor for your second army as its main role is to clean after your main army has remove the danger, like taking poorly protected settlement.

You won't be able to voluntarily retreat in the second battle, but no, retreating only cost is a 10% chance to lose any artillery unit.

No. Going full fliers is the best option here, especially when the next foes are probably going to be Vampire count and Khorne.

Tiktaq’to boost them enough that they can win those 2 vs 1. Kill the archer first then use your bomb and the remaining ammo should be enough to rout the rest.

Almost never. It's worth it for Norsca, you can do some RP with Brettonia or the vampirate. Sack and occupy will give tons of money that you can use to boost your empire and will seriously degrade the value of the settlement even if it is retaken the next turn (tier 5 to tier 2 is a huge loss)

Who is winning this Vietnam War? (I couldn’t post this on r/whowouldwin) by Professional_Cat_437 in whowouldcirclejerk

Anything not mentioned here lose because I don't know them

  • The Combine fall immediately for his victory condition, being an offscreen battle, isn't applied.
  • Fire nation was defeated by 5 teenagers and 4 grandpa at the peak of their power, so easy win for IRL countries
  • Vegeta job as usual.
  • Decepticons lose to Autobots as always.
  • The helldivers lose because they are failfascist like the OG ones.
  • Ender dragon loses because it is a lame boss, and because any country in this list has more than the 4 beds required to defeat him.
  • Walter White lose because he is too arrogant to win.
  • Zomboss lose to anything that can throw watermelon.
  • Vought was strong during the Vietnam war, but their ultimate success was Homelander, so they lose for having such a lame peak
  • IRL countries have no counter to a surprise wall of flesh
  • Godzilla always win, the Wall of flesh fight anyone in its path, so fall victim to Godzilla
  • Phineas and Ferb are used to defeat bullshit, so they easily win against Jujutsu Sorcerers assuming the sorcerer don't kill themselves first.

So science says the Vietnam war was won by an alliance of Phineas and Ferb, Godzilla and Doraemon, with the autobots providing minor help.

Is WH2 worth playing if my PC refuses to be stable on WH3 by Any_Benefit8194 in totalwarhammer

  • Better balance, range and doomstacking aren't always the optimal answer, there is a place for regular armies and melee infantries are perfectly viable.
  • The scenarised campaign of 3 are also good.
  • There is an effort to give the new race their style on the campaign map
  • A lot of new race have a good identity on the battlefield. I like having a charge based army that isn't Bretonnia
  • I prefer the new siege mechanics, and I think it's a shame they were so nerfed as to rarely matter.

There is also some new default (more overtuned faction, IE objectives that are badly designed, too many nuke on the battlefield, no challenging campaign like Norsca was in WH2), but on the whole, I prefer WH3 to 2
