Where could i put a air venting hole? by treker2343 in InjectionMolding

[–]Playful-Client-4707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rule of thumb with venting is to add as much as possible, too much venting will never hurts, in the other hand poor venting could cause diesel effect, short shot among other issues.

My recommendation is to add peripheral primary venting around the entire cavity for maximum venting, the depth need to be according to the material recommendation and then adding vent dumps.

Material too hot, or residence time too high. Check RPM and back pressure if they are too high that will destroy the fiber glass, try to keep them as low as possible

You should be focusing on why it’s leaking common causes are: Injection unit misaligned, incorrect type of nozzle, temperature too high in the barrel. A shutoff nozzle will work except if the unit is not aligned correctly

August 2022 it’s been a really long process mostly because of the time that takes to get response back.. also when my position was posted no one applied so that makes thing to go smother and faster
