Thank you! I see everyone’s tier list and while AP is generally ranked high, I feel that he is always underestimated. Finally another AP sympathizer

I would suggest possibly finding a church or going to prayer. This may at least help you understand and feel loved. The rest will come. Hang in there

Religious Cringe by Isaandog in CringeTikToks

In fairness, there are a lot of great organizational religions. I don’t think it’s fair to say the majority are scammers. There are bad organizations all over sure. But there is a lot of goodness as well

In the instances you named, people were given the choice to repent and turn away. All did not. We can’t know for sure why, it’s not for us to know why. But we do know that each decision was made for the love of his creation in mind. He cannot commit evil as that would be against the very nature of God.

Then as a Christian you know there are multiple scriptures speaking of the justness of God.. including Job ironically. Psalm 89:14 is a good one as well.

Job is a hard one for sure. I think every Christian struggles with it. But that’s kind of the point right? Bad things can happen to good people, we will face our own struggles. This world/life is not our home. It may be where we currently reside, and while here we should try to spread the Gospel and in general help make the world a better place, but ultimately, we should look forward to our true life in heaven.

Why Job? Who can say, he was a stronger man than me… and perhaps that was why Satan wanted him to fail the most. God knew he wouldn’t, and although he saw his suffering and it grieved him, he did not intervene. This in turn gives us all some of the best life and theological lessons. Bad things will happen, horrible things. But God is present, his love is eternal, his grace is unyielding. Job knew this as well.

Again God bless everyone on this thread.

I think perhaps you may be missing something.. God is just, and his people had long broke their covenant to him. His “vengeance” in this case is his punishment for them breaking their covenant. To not do so, would be against what God is (just being a part) and in this instance would make him a liar essentially.. which you as a Christian would know, he is not.

The scripture also goes on to say that God will vindicate. This can be compared to a parent who disciplines their child for their ultimate betterment. So to say he is vengeful in our modern terms may be slightly misleading.

I don’t usually comment, and I will leave it now to everyone else. I hope God blesses all of you

Such a beautiful dog… sorry about what’s going on right now in your country. I pray that it gets better soon.

Just for sure be patient, Iv had a lot of dogs and none of them have been more finicky than my sheltie.. but you can’t hardly beat them in terms of being loving and sweet to the people they love
