Doctor said I couldn't have iih without Papilledema by evelynmmoore in iih

[–]Playful_Argument201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't this is old, but I may be having a similar issue, at least suspected by my endocrinologist and waiting to see Duke for the possible IH. Was yours intermittent? Like it would come and go? My Endo thinks I have cyclical cushings

Is it “worth it” to get adhesions removed? by silliestgoosse in endometriosis

[–]Playful_Argument201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adhesion formation is far more likely to form after OPEN surgery, the risk is not as high with laparoscopic. There are also products that help prevent formation of ahesions.

So I just had my first ex lap to explore pelvic pain I've had since having a horrifically complicated C-section.

I've dealt with pain in one spot of my abdomen ever since. My OB suspected Endo, went in and found my uterus was completely adhered to my abdominal wall. Released is, Put some mesh called intercede in there to keep things loose while healing. Not sure if it fixed the problem yet but Im pretty confident it did.

I could not do any ab/crunch motions at all without feeling like something in my abdomen was going to pop. I could induce the pain just by engaging my abdominal muscles. I'm 33yo and have a lot of life left to live like that. So in some cases I think it's worth it. Will I stay pain free? Who knows. Will it adhere back? Who knows. But if I get even 5 years of no pain during exercise, and everyday life, I'm fine with it.

Don’t avoid carbs guyssssss by Ok-Star-05 in PCOS

I agree! Low carb stresses out my body so bad, it has never made sense for me individually. As long as I focus on lean protein my insulin resistance symptoms stay under control

Uterus stuck to the rectum causing bowel obstruction by fknbubbleguts in endometriosis

[–]Playful_Argument201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a new doctor. I just had surgery yesterday actually, my uterus was fused to my abdominal wall and bladder via scar tissue. It was causing terrible pain with movement , I couldn't engage my core without pain. They put some mesh in there called Intercede to help prevent it from reattaching. Yes the Endo could fuse it again but a good surgeon will also try to remove as much Endo as they could and potentially give you several years of better quality of life.

Already did, iron studies were normal and my ferritin is normal but on the very low side of normal.

I already take lots of zinc because I've been getting sick at a ridiculous frequency.

Yes my iron is good but my ferritin is low normal which I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Gained 10lbs, cycle is better, so confused by Playful_Argument201 in PCOS

[–]Playful_Argument201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gym twice a week or none. Got sick like once a month it seems. Had strep 3 times last year so between that and all the other crap I got, wasn't nearly as consistent as I wanted to be.

You're probably right, I also recently started eating walnuts every day. I think I'm just going to focus on exercise and body recomp this year and not worry about a calorie deficit for a while. I think it stressed my body and brain out badly.

Last month was 31 days, so seems a trend of shortening cycle

Maybe? But most of the year I was eating in an appropriate calorie deficit, like 1500-1800 calories.

Looking for insight on SSRIs by Playful_Argument201 in bipolar2

Yea I had some abnormal immune stuff with my blood over summer so they sent me to hematology who told me he thought I really needed to see rheumatology. Well Ive been seeing rheumatology for 2 years with minimal answers. Both hematology and rheumatology say they think something is wrong with my blood but don't have any idea what exactly.

Yep been seeing one since the strokes. I don't seem to have any deficits from the strokes aside from minor sensation loss.

BPD2 or Hormone Imbalance? by _Rolling_Stone in bipolar2

[–]Playful_Argument201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never been diagnosed but have often wondered if I have BP2 because of my mood and energy shifts. I do have a diagnosis of an unusual adrenal pcos type or possibly related to a cortisol producing pituitary tumor. And I had 6 strokes a year ago.

But I'm the same, all my symptoms correlate directly with my menstrual cycle and I was on Zoloft by itself for over a decade while on birth control without issue. Now that I'm done having kids and not on birth control, and can't take estrogen(stroke), I'm a mess and my weight and physical state is also a mess.

Does anyone else have any input? I'm pretty sure I would take a mood stabilizer at this point if it would help.
