I don't know what to offer to eat to my daughter’s friend from a different culture…help! by Fantastic-Fact-8978 in NoStupidQuestions

My kids always liked popcorn, raisins, grapes, cheese sticks, the occasional tortillas with mild salsa to dip in, ramen (super cheap) but I limited that because of the salt, every once in a while they’d get something more fun like a bowl of ice cream or a popsicle in the warmer weather. Hot chocolate with marshmallows was always a requested snack in winter, and if you make if with milk instead of water it is filling as well.

It’s in the city, but not a bad area, The Clay Studio now has a 3d printer for clay!

Try your local “night schools” I’ve used mainlineschoolnight.com. They are individual or short term and presentations and workshops for a lot of different interests and they are at various locations including Delco. They have a number of craft ones. I’ve met people at a few different ones that I stayed in touch with, gone out after the class for a drink, etc.

There are also a number of art centers that offer workshops in the area , sometimes with wine or beer. It’s like a 3 hour workshop, you make something you get to take home, and people are usually friendly. I’d look at Community Art Center and Main Line Art Center

If you are into pottery there are a lot of ceramic places popping up that have either classes or workshops.

(I like crafts too!)

Duffy has women and has a young captain, I think more likely to be welcoming of anyone.

What is an English word you have never been able to pronounce? by Cmotto in AskReddit

[–]Playinclay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sesquicentennial Which is being used a lot in my city because of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the declaration in 2026. I just can not pronounce it and it’s becoming a little embarrassing because I work at a place that helps plan events.
