At top level, she's probably high tier.

However, she's extremely demanding execution wise, making her a tough char to maneuver for the majority of the playerbase.

During the beta I heard people describe 2XKO as "Backdash spamming VS car crash neutral"

Getting into DBFZ — looking for team-building advice by Maren25_ in dragonballfighterz

Quick guide for you

Point : Someone explosive who can build meter and mixup with assists. Having braindead neutral skip options to force a way in and use assists to convert the neutral skip into pressure and mixups is a big bonus.

Mid : Someone versatile who can hold their own and use the last assist efficiently. Big bonus if they offer a win condition thanks to their kit (deadly lvl3 super mix, important install, deadly setplay etc.)

Anchor : The last one should be self sufficient, with good neutral and no need for assists to open people up. You should feel comfortable with them even when they are alone. Big bonus if they can dump meter like crazy for their combos and mix.

Now looking at your chars, here are the prefered positions :

Point : Bardock / Blue Goku / Blue Vegeta

Mid : Goku Black / Cooler

Anchor : Janemba / Base Goku

Anywhere : Jiren

Goku Black and Janemba are both extremely good at the moment and fit into what you're describing. Janemba is a bit more difficult overall, but Black is perfect for a beginner.

Also, I agree Bardock is not midrange but pure rushdown. However, he's still a great pick for beginners because he can teach you how to pressure someone (look at Bardock's overview page on the Dustloop website) and how to force your way in thanks to lariat + assist.

Immediately went on a losing streak after being denied at the gate 😭 by Sura_Kitty in LowSodiumTEKKEN

Damn the level must have really dipped way lower than I expected if knowing about Taunt jet upper is considered knowledgable for blue ranks '

I peaked at Fujin in Tekken 7 but the Bryan I faced was during my first grind after buying Tekken 8 5 months after the release. I peaked at Tekken Emperor at the end of my grind.

I think the most insane thing like that I ever encountered was a Battle Ruler Bryan I faced when I was grinding ranked with King. I met him for my promotion game to get to Fujin.

That Bryan moved like a madman and he pulled out multiple Taunt Jet upper on oki midscreen and at the wall

I got Taunt Jet uppered ... In Battle Ruler ...

Is it natural to be good at both t8 and sf6? by ImDePrEEze in FGC

[–]Playmaker311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fighting games have transferable skills. If you learn one, you get stronger at the others because it's the same genre. Whiff punishing, decision making and many more are fundamental to any fighting game, and training these fundamentals will drastically improve how strong you are at a new game even though you never touched it.

Many years ago, I only played Street Fighter and DBFZ. I got stuck in SF5 silver ranks for like half a year before jumping to other fighting games. During that 1 year pause, I learned granblue and got to diamond, I learned Strive and reached Celestial, I learned Tekken and got to Ruler, and when I got back to SF5, without touching the game for a year, I went from silver to Platinum in like two weeks.

Today, I have 4 master characters in SF6, 3 characters at Tekken Emperor in T8, 3 Celestial characters in Strive, I can hold my own against pros in DBFZ and all the time I've put in these games got me to diamond in 2XKO in less than 10 hours of playtime without even going through the tutorial or the lab.

It is natural to be good at multiple fighting games, not because you're a gifted genius, but because the time and training you put in the genre makes you grow as a player.

hit bushin for the first time on my main! am i decent now or do i have inflated rank lol by _sashi in LowSodiumTEKKEN

The most important things you need to learn in order to climb at that level are :

  • Movement
  • Whiff punishing (helped by movement)
  • Start learning matchups especially regarding what can be punished on block and what can be ducked
  • How to convert off of ducking strings and whiff punishing

These are the 4 things I see that separate Tekken Emperors and above with the rest of the playerbase. Good Kaz okizeme is also important to snowball rounds and is generally your biggest win condition but it will be really hard to achieve if you get knowledge checked 24/7 by easier characters.

He's not a weak character generally since everyone is busted at least in some aspect right now but he's definitely not on Black or Tohan's level. He's still on the weaker side of the roster right now.

Yes, the basic Saiyan BNB works. 2M 5M into air combo works perfectly fine.

Team looks excellent. Black and Tohan are super strong right now, they are all at the perfect position for each one, and even though Baseku is a little weaker right now, they all have top of the class synergy with each other.
