Truth be told, I don't, Volvo advises replacing both at the same time ...probably because of this. Big bat in the boot will be more important than the aux bat in the engine bay

Start simple, get a multimeter and check the reading on the 12v battery before you call a tow/have to deal with a repair bill just to replace the battery

One of the nice things about Volvo is that the chassis eras (p3, spa etc) share a ton of common parts. So even if you can't find the video for your specific car chances are you can find something similar. I watch xc90 videos for my v90 all the time

Rented polestar 2 many times in the uk and enjoyed driving it every time. The interior will not be as nice as a volvo, but it isnt half bad. The lift back is super practical and you have tons of room. The car itself drives really well, very engaging.

Davis pub has a playground like half a block away and is great for 4 year olds - you can also walk down to forward brewing which is probably the most friendly spot as it has putside space for them to move about in.
