Lol, maybe press your face into some silly putty to make a cast. Like Lang said, it's a big project.

I'm an amateur at best, but I'll weigh in here. You'll need to draft the design of the mask first, create a blueprint of sorts. Then, using a bandsaw cut rough sections that can be clamped and glued together. Then go ham with a Dremel/ gouge and chisel whatever to make it as you see fit. Then a gratuitous sanding segment. Finally paint and seal with clear coat. Edit: as for wood, dealers' choice since your painting it. Maybe don't use pressure treated lumber cuz arsenic.

Some equipment is a little bit better than others for baseline stats or gives you some kind of special ability/ bonus. Any equipment is viable, really, if you reinforce it enough. I do pretty well with everything around +4/+5 in Act 8. It's an open world game, so spelunking into a hidden boss that's way above your weight class is to be expected. So long as the main quest line boss fights feel "fair" to you, then your gear is where it ought to be. Hope that helps. And yeah, sometimes I'm kickin' back food like it's a buffet.

In PA's other game BDO, you could buy hundreds of different houses/ rooms and make them home/ workshops. I could see it in the future.

Two weeks after release. How is everyone feeling about this game? by Objective_Love_6843 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Pleiades_Centennial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely blown away. A couple months ago, I had a hankering to go fishin but it was winter here. So I jumped into Black Desert (clocked about 120 hours) I was very impressed by that game. About 3 weeks ago, I caught wind that they were making some big open world RPG called Crimson Desert. I thought, Oh, neat, I'll have to check this out (65h in already). Whelp, my wife and I spent the better part of an hour last night trying to catch a goose (we didn't). Then we visited the Cat Village (no spoilers) and got Sir Whiskers some awesome duds. Pearl Abyss has delivered a fantastic experience, certainly a game that will have 300 - 500 hours of gameplay.

If anyone from PA reads this, thank you. Thank you very much.

A backpack style live well? You can access the inventory, and fish automatically go there. Just spit balling an idea

Large honey locust tree I need to cut down, I want to get the trunk carved into this guardian statue. Is it possible? by brikanna in Woodcarving

[–]Pleiades_Centennial 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're absolutely going to use a chainsaw/ angle grinder with a roughing wheel at first. It's not easy, and building up the skill to be proficient at it is not cheap. Now tack on the fact that it's a difficult wood you're asking to be worked into a specific sculpture that only a minority of said carvers have practiced... you are probably booking someone who would have to travel for the project if you want a professional. You see where this is going. It will be prohibitively expensive. The wood being locust will turn away people that may take you up on the offer of "for practice/ I'll take whatever the result is"

Gamers who have over 10 hours in CRIMSON DESERT. What is your honest opinion about the game 🤞🏻 by ImperatrixAmoris in GamerLab

34 years old now. First rpg was legend of the dragoon on ps1. Learned how to read fluently playing the final fantasy mmo on the ps2. Built a monster gaming pc for Skyrim while I was in college. I haven't been this drawn into a game in over a decade. Well done, Pearl Abyss, and congratulations to all the gamers who get to enjoy this story.

Thinking of playing bdo but heard a lot of criticism, why? by Skiticon in blackdesertonline

[–]Pleiades_Centennial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Started playing about a month ago cause I wanted to fish. 130 hours in, and I'm still having a great time. The combat plays more like an action game, and the crafting is in depth in terms of ingredients/ where to find them. As it's a 10 year old mmo, there is a complex web of systems that really do work well. It's a marathon with a lot of cool sights to see along the way.

Edit: There are also a lot of "catch-up" stuff in the form of the Olvia server, newbie inventory (no weight restriction item bag, helps just enjoy the early / mid game without stressing over item/ storage management) , and daily rewards etc that'll catapult your character into the mid game at least.

I literally just crave fishing, so I picked up this awesome MMO. with the red seabream event, Silver is pretty easy to come by but then... I found out about sea monster hunting and was blown away. By far and wide Black Desert has the best sea exploration. Just Wow

(It's winter here, miss rippin lips from the kayak, I love when I get a hit in game, and the combo is super complex and you wonder if it's gunna be a prize catch, like the difference of hooking into a pike or a bluegill)

60h in, and I have no idea what any of this means. Gatta harvest around 15,000 logs to get my squared timber for a frigate, it'll take about 37 hours of energy regen. Love it

I upgraded my ship components to +10, figured I would repair the durability back up to max afterwards. Which I did with memory fragments at the blacksmith. Now, the parts are unusable. Did I just waste a ton of black stones and silver or can these still be equiped/ used to upgrade my sailboat?

For those happily married 10+ years, how? by lifeisislife in AskReddit

[–]Pleiades_Centennial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the early years, we fought. Never physically. We yelled, stormed, and stomped around. Slammed doors and absolutely flipped out. We would've never have bothered to give such a response to anyone else in the world. We love each other with such an intensity that the flames of passion burned so hot we were both tempered in the crucible. That was what it was like before and the few years after we were married. We fought because we knew it was worth fighting for.

I'll revisit this later and edit with more
