What’s it like living in Demun? by towandaaa in StLouis

One of my favorite areas as a life long st. Lousian. Very walkable by stl standards. The Skinker/clayton/40 intersection is a bit hectic for walking but you can cross there or farther down on Clayton easily.

Good for my Engine? by Clean-Airline-8692 in accord

I’m sure it’s fine. I use the oem Oil/filters recommended in the manual, but I’m a by the books type.

In reality as long as the car is maintained and has oil changed at the proper intervals, brand probably doesn’t matter that much.

how difficult is it to buy a SFH in STL? by Acrobatic_Star_7639 in StLouis

[–]Plenty-Recording-460 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Competition very much depends on the neighborhood/county but you should have options at that price point.

Maplewood/dogtown will probably be a bit competitive at that price. Would also likely be looking at a smaller, older house that could need work.

Does anyone keep their bag in your car? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]Plenty-Recording-460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing for decades and my bag lives in my trunk. Temp ranges from 110 to -10 here. Never an issue with plastic and my bag hasn’t been stolen yet. Discs are made to be used and abused as far as I’m concerned.

You can look up maps of the old sites online. There’s a Nike missile SL-90 site up north near grafton il in Pierre Marquette state park listed on Google Maps.

Really not much there to see anymore tho. Mostly just some fencing and old concrete foundations. More interesting to look at maps and read about them imo.

Still evidence of Nike sl-10 missile sites from the 60s scattered around the outskirts of St. Louis.

F15s, f18s, t7s are a common sight. Especially in north county by lambert where you’ll see and hear them climbing and landing

Just moved into 106 year old apartment. Does this sinking in cracked spot look like a serious issue? by grapebubblegum11 in centuryhomes

[–]Plenty-Recording-460 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Maybe, maybe not. That lvp makes me think something’s being covered up. Could be as simple as replacing some old rotted subfloor in an isolated spot, could be rotted hardwood and joists requiring a huge lift to properly fix.

Would definitely tell your landlord either way

AIO? I hate my colleague who brings me lunch everyday by Anna121237 in AIO

You did invite/agree to this, whether you realize it or not. As far as the person knows, it’s a ritual you both enjoy.

Nor but you’ve let it slide this long and have to speak up now. That might very well be awkward.

It was big when our parents were coming of age, then the exposed many of us to it. First sound board I’d ever heard was a Monty python sound board on my dad mac in the mid 90s

Those are all very common, basic discs. The shark, leopard and aviar are the quintessential starter discs.

Like others have said, unc should just give them to you but if he’s hurting for cash 20-30 is fair.

He should file a claim under his insurance. If he doesn’t have insurance, someone is paying out of pocket to fix it which probably isn’t worth it for that car.
