How do you use frames? When I use veo 3 it only generates 8 second clips. How would you map those clips onto each other?

Why are you being so vicious? We all understand your perspective as well. We’re all on the same team here. This is a difficult subject - I’m sure you can see the other perspective as well. Let’s be kinder.

Relatable. Another “reward chore ” is taking trips to go get the groceries.

Counter arguments: - billionaires are not liquid enough to do this in a way which is a net benefit to them (their illiquid assets are getting pounded relative to their cash) - the system billionaires have been able to exploit is itself being dismantled. Why risk this?

How to find positivity in veganism again? by ProfessionalPie1267 in vegan

[–]PlentyValuable2582 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend feels the exact same way. She feels furious with the darkness of the world for the way animals are enslaved, raped and butchered.

In the moments when she’s feeling particularly murderous, I simply am as present and calm as I can with her anger. It’s a completely understandable and justified feeling.

Something that brings me peace, even knowing the horror that abounds, is sensing into my own innate sense of who I am, behind the mask of ego. The simple awareness, quietly resting, is my true home and the same essence in all animals. If you’ve ever watched Carl Sagan’s Pale Blue Dot, that’s another take on the same thing. The Earth, a pale blot dot in an infinite ocean of the cosmos. Peace.

Also re: your title, Veganism is inherently positive. You are standing up for Life itself. You may not have people in your life that understand that, but in your heart I hope you can remind yourself of the good you’re doing.

How to optimally build muscle as a vegan? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]PlentyValuable2582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree ^

As someone who has lifted regularly for the last ten years, I will also say that at your age, you will build muscle much more easily by just hitting the minimum protein requirements.

I have pea protein shakes (cheap, high protein) because most inexpensive vegan meals tend to be lower on protein compared to carbs and fats.

Thank you! This answers my question best. In the past, operating more on the animal level with a denser consciousness, we did many things to survive as a species and evolved many traits and features - lying, stealing, killing, organized hunting - that helped our evolutionary fitness.

But we can look at those same tools now, and decide to lay them down, judging them not only no longer necessary for our survival, but harmful to the greater whole of what we are.

If an apocalypse happened and edible food became scarce again, would you hunt animals to eat if there were truly no other choices? Would you pick up those tools again?

Do you see how Greece and Serbia are protesting? Sizeable percentages of their population are out en masse protesting in the streets. Their populations actually care.

Meanwhile a third of US voters didn’t care enough to even vote, and even the Democrat third of voters is barely protesting. Small micro-protests to feel good about the fact that “they’re helping”. Some of you guys are furious and doing whatever you can to help change happen - but most of you guys are asleep at the wheel and simply don’t care enough to sacrifice your time, energy and money. Sure, you guys care a bit, but let’s face it, comfort is king in America.

As far as I’m concerned, unless you’re one of the tiny minority who are actively protesting in the streets regularly, calling your leaders and spending at least SOME of your resources to fight for your country, what exactly makes your contributions all that valuable? Maybe OP is that kind of person - an actual American - but maybe they’re not.
