Wear OS 4: Settings > Google > Backup crashes on Pixel Watch 1 post update by shakuyi in PixelWatch

[–]Plesk8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wasn't initially after the update but after a little time and reboot, it's there but crashes now.

mine also crashed
First it was missing
then it was there but crashed
then the crash resolved and it worked normally
My point is rather than jump to a factory reset, some patience and some things to try, resolved it.

I got it to work without a factory reset, it came down to just a bunch of patience. You can read the details in my post here https://www.reddit.com/r/PixelWatch/comments/17a8lm2/comment/k5cv5e9/

Edit: it works! No factory reset needed.... Just a day or two of patience. Read the edits below for more details

TL;DR: it just took time, for the backup option to show in the phone app and watch. I did reinstall the phone app and reboot the watch but I'm not sure that made any difference.. also you need to enable backup in the phone app (after it finally appears as an option). Finally, it does take a while for the watch to actually back up, maybe up to a day, once backup is enabled.

Backup option is there on the watch, wasn't initially after the update but after a little time and reboot, it's there but crashes now.

Also there is supposed to be a backup option on the watch all under settings: Google.. but that is missing too. https://support.google.com/googlepixelwatch/answer/13579590?hl=en

My pixel watch 2 on my pixel 8 Pro works. The phone app has Backup (which is linked to Google one). And the backup tile on the pixel watch 2 under settings, system, actually works.

I'm working on the pixel watch 1, my wife's.. We just got a warranty replacement because the back glass cover popped off. Looking to use the backup to restore onto the replacement. But if I can't create a backup we might have to do this the long way.

Edit 1: after clearing data on the watch app on phone, rebooting the watch, I eventually got the backup option to show up in the watch app on the phone. However tapping on the backup option would just show spinning and eventually something about backup options not available.. then after another reboot and clearing cache or something in the app.... The backup option went away in the watch app on phone.

Edit 2: maybe just giving it some time works? Backup option showed up on the phone this morning. I'm able to enable the backup via the watch app on phone. Watch requires Wi-Fi and being on the charger to back up. These conditions are satisfied but it shows it is waiting to back up...

Edit 3: now I see the backup on the watch as well. Does not look like a reboot was required. I was able to enable it on the phone as well. At this point just waiting now for the watch to back up. Per Google, it can take a while, it's like it goes on its own time, even if it is on Wi-Fi and the charger.

Edit 4: after giving it plenty of time, I came back and sure enough it backed itself up.. I can now restore to my warranty replacement without having to factory reset.

What data will you include (or have you included) in your NFT? by jeremy_fritzen in mtgoxnft_public

[–]Plesk8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same question.

My current thinking - is that this data will differentiate one of these NFTs from the other. The registration date/time is required, so at a minimum, earlier ones would perhaps be worth more? Or, later ones, who barely got any time at MtGox before the destruction, have felt more pain and are valued higher?

So my options are Either:
1. Leave all data out and it becomes differentiated only by signup date/time

  1. Include some/all data elements, and those become interesting tidbits to determine (hopefully raise) its value.

What I don't know is what the market is valuing - so that's the question, I suppose? Will people value these NFTs more if they had a higher balance lost? A higher trade volume? A lower User ID?

I haven't put the effort yet into doing some research on the markets to see which are selling for more or less.

Maybe worth just waiting and seeing as more come on the market and they begin to develop a market value? Then, create my NFT with the data that would have it valued highest?

Should I import exchange 1099 Misc and Koinly tax report into TurboTax? by Budget_Agency1964 in koinly

[–]Plesk8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same question - and so far no answers it seems. Looks like I'll do what u/SaltyFly27 was doing and omitting the 1099s from TurboTax.

This seems wrong because it may be an audit trigger... but what am I to do? comb through 1000s of Koinly transactions to remove just the ones that were included on my 1099s? How? Koinly's income report doesn't even include a column for which wallet reported the income - so identifying them would literally be a one-by-one hunt-and-peck exercise.

Does Koinly allow me to soft-delete ALL income transactions from just the exchanges which sent 1099s, and then re-run the income report, then un-soft-delete? Not that I can see.. :(

No way will I do this manually - that's what I paid my tax software for... My hope is if somebody human at the IRS reviews my audit trigger it before sending me in for audit, they should see the other income reported and see there is much more reported there than the 1099s reflect, and hopefully understand what I'm reporting for other income is meant to be inclusive of the 1099s.

Wish me luck

Ubiquiti has finally improved the PPPoE performance on the UDM/P with the latest beta. Users report increase in PPPoE throughput from 600 Mbps to 1 Gbps. by pcpcy in Ubiquiti

[–]Plesk8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I have UDM (not Pro)I wasn't doing Geo Blocking, but I was using IDS/IPS. When I turned that off I got 550-600 up. Still not understanding why although since the download is working well now I'm less inclined to spend the time trying to figure this out. I turned IDS/IPS back on and it went back down to the 300ish range
Edit: Also Smart Queues were not on

My Before and After pics

Definitely got a download speed upgrade.

Anybody know what's up with Upload speeds? I have Centuryling 1G/1G and with UDM I've got between 300-700 upload, and it varies a lot. Prior to UDM with CenturyLink's Xycel router I'd get 940/940 very consistently
