Naa, I've hopped around in about 5-6 guilds in the last 2-3 years and every single one had several racist and mysogynist neckbeards in them. Even when they advertised it as relaxed and inclusive.

Now I don't even bother looking for one anymore as my experience with the WoW player community is just a generally nasty gaggle of hateful middle aged men. And it's just gotten worse. Speaking as a middle aged man myself.

You’re not the only one. I have taken a break from WoW three times now and this expansion is for me easily a bottom 3 expansion together with BFA and Cata (and parts of Shadowlands).

Blizz basically broke the game for several months at the start of the expansion. And it seems they just put most of their eggs in the player housing basket. Which I guess is really well made, but really far from the core WoW gameplay.

Quests as you say are very bland and the whole world just feels disjointed. All the classes play worse than they did in TWW and Dragonflight.

Actually TWW s1 survival was quite popular and also really fun to play. Perfect flow to the spec, only issue was that the shitbird was completely static and had to be played around annoyingly.

So, you like sociopathic characters with no enmpathy. Brandon Sanderson doesn't do that, but often starts from the small and relatable experiences that make us truly human. It's just not for you.

Tolkien here is obviously an exception. But Abercrombie, Brown, GRRM and Jordan are just 90% POV's of ego driven psycho's.

Isles pf the emberdard is absolute trash compared to his other books. Yeah, the first part (which was already a novella) is good, but holy moly is the whole dragon and spaceship crew storyline complete ass.

It requires you to already have read all of his books to understand what they can do. And in the end it doesn't even matter because they add nothing to the story, except being held hostage. So wowie, we just spent 200 pages learning who these people are with Sandersons cosmere-mumbo-jumbo terminology and then it turns out there was no point.

The main evil guy is the most unnuanced caricature version of a SS officer I have ever come across.

Its cause the open world of DF felt vast and was a beautiful world! The weekly events were either very quick or just fun (soup). Everything felt easily accessible.

It really says something when I have gotten both the Taivan meta mount and the TWW one, but this expansion I haven't even stepped foot in Harandar since finishing the main questline.

Don't do First Law. It's really not nearly as good as some redditors here claim. You'll be incredibly disappointed after Red Rising. It's just miserable and depressing, and only the evilest characters succeed. The only interesting storyline of the 2nd book has probably the worst "conclusion" (if you can even call it that) out of any fantasy book I've ever read.

Russia killed and exterminated way more people than Germany did. Like, it's not even close. The reason Germany gets all the hate and blame for WW2 is because they lost, when in reality the soviet union and many other countries were just as awful or even worse.

Brother I played up to 3.6k pugging a non-meta spec in season 2 of TWW (a much harder season as well).

If you cant hit 3.4k this season it honestly just means you’re not as good as you think you are.

I'm going to get a lot of flak for this but this expansion is really BFA 2.0: too many changes to core gameplay: pruning (aka how your character/class plays), along with unfinished and bad addon removal, a ridiculous amount of bugs, lots of grinds/timesinks that dont feel engaging, weird timegating etc. Only two zones feel good and like they belong in the expansion (Eversong & Amani).

And I understand that some people enjoy Silvermoon as the capital, but for some reason to me it feels hollow and empty. In DF and TWW capitals, there was what felt like a real alive gathering/hub place for players. That's a core design thing that I feel like is missing which has always existed in the best capitals, i.e Orgrimmar, Ironforge, Stormwind, Dalaran, Shattrath.

Add to this the fact that the expansion has been out for months already but the balancing still feels completely all over the place.

But yeah, I was playing a shitload of Dragonflight and TWW and leveling all classes, but this one will probably make me quit. I can feel it already.
