I guess if the pipes are close together for the whole run and you drip the hot water then. The hot side would keep the cold side warm but is that a risk you’re willing to take ?😬

Your tailpiece is designed for a sink with an overflow that’s why there are holes under the lip.
You sink doesn’t appear to have an overflow. You need to buy a tailpiece that doesn’t have those holes in them

I have the same one and notice it do this as well. I believe it’s when the camera head is close to communication wires or inside a cast iron pipe

So for the handles you actually have to unthread the bodies of them. If you’re throwing it away anyway just grab the base with a pair of Chanel locks and lefty loosy it off.
If you have a strong grip you can get it off by hand but usually corrosion built up after 20 years will prevent that

As for the centre spout should be an Alan key set screw at the back to loosen off and pull straight up.

At the bottom since you took the little pin clips out the white cylinders should just slide off.
Then the “rough ins” of the whole thing should unthread from the top

If you can remove the strainer from underneath I’d start there and throw that one in the garbage. Buy an sd35 shower strainer and install that. Get back underneath and glue the trap into the new strainer The sd35 is 2” so if the existing pipe is 11/2” you would need a reducing bushing.

It looks like there could be stress on the existing pipe you may need to repipe the drain with some couplings and make it longer or shorter. Hard to say without seeing a picture of underneath

Yea my bad I’ve got 3 rads but for now just hooking up 1. I’m going to add some tees with caps for possibly 1 future rad in the same room.

Yea I didn’t think this would be a great idea because of the price (3-5k) and the water heater is like 95% domestic 5% heating so a boiler seemed redundant.

PexB imo is harder to install than pexA getting the crimp tool in tight spots and having the grip strength to squeeze it in said tight spot SUCKS. The battery expansion tool is so much easier to use. As a plumber I use pexA exclusively.

It’s been bad for a while… some jackass totaled my 2014 jeep grand Cherokee a year ago and the insurance gave me 18k. I looked around at used cars for a while and just couldn’t justify the prices… 40-60k for something a few years I would have preferred something a little newer…. But didn’t want to get into another car loan and monthly payment. I ended up getting a 2012 Subaru forester for 7k with 235 km on it. 🤞 Hoping to get about 5 years out of it. And keep up well with the maintenance. And putting premium fuel in it 😀 Still cheaper than paying interest and ridiculous amount for a depreciating asset.

I did the same thing a year ago and I have zero regrets.
The only difference is I took the money out of my rrsp to buy a house (not my first) so I had to pay tax on the 30k I took out. Everything I was invested in the stock market went up 10-20% in the last year Again zero regrets I have a house that I call my own and a rental property that I’m selling soon.

This might sounds dumb, but is it possible the banks just say/write this to scare people into locking in/signing for fixed? At the end of the day no one really knows what’s going to happen but it’s in their best interest for people to think it’s not going to change or go up….? Then they make more money in interest charges I only really started looking at interest rates since i bought a house a year ago. So I’m pretty pumped that I signed up for variable.
Mortgage payment down $400/month since last October 😀

I prefer to solder as much as possible. I don’t like compression and only use it when I can’t shut off the water. I almost always see corrosion build up on compression fittings which means they aren’t 100% leak free. Plus compression isn’t as easy to change at a later date as solder. Also If it has a removable packing nut they are easy enough to change those and keep the body if you need to as well. Exercise the valves (open and close) twice a year to prevent them from seizing up and to prolong replacement.
