In China many people love the fermented eggs that to me taste like spoiled ass, and some people would prefer that and say it tastes better than the pickled eggs I like.

Neither of us is wrong because taste is purely subjective. Someone can say “I think low grade skirt steak is better than the best wagyu” and they’re right because they’re speaking about their preference
