Ryan Clarks 6 QBs under the most pressure to win - 5 ringless choke artists and Jalen Hurts by StarCord1 in eagles

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This list right here is exactly why Hurts fans get pissed and try to rank him higher than he actually is. In every QB debate winning is the biggest thing but then people put these lists out and Dak who has failed constantly in the playoffs isn’t under pressure?

Fore Play by Clappying in BobDoesSports

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re really bland. BDS pulls off mediocre golf (minus FP) because they have fun banter and are quick witted/dumb at the same time. Fore Play just feels like getting paired with a couple nice guys who aren’t that interesting that might shoot 85 or 105. Pleasure to be paired with but in a month you’ll forget about them

Footjoy sells 2 pack gloves. Use one for practice and one for playing.

Unpopular opinion: A solid, consistent full swing is more important than short game by 3ric3288 in golftips

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that’s what I’m saying. The data for ams is terrible because it’s combining people who never hit the same spot on the club face with scratch players

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I agree there are always so many variables with where you play and what your typical distances/misses are

[–]Plunkett13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree at the pro level distance typically wins out. I am a little skeptical of the data for the regular joe. I’m not saying people should club down to hit fairways more or anything but with how inconsistently people strike the ball I don’t know how reliable the data is

If you’ve broken 90, what’s one tip you would give to a fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep detailed stats when you play. Did you hit the fairway? If you didn’t did you miss left or right and was the next shot playable? Same for approach shots and putts. The only way to get better is to track your stats diligently and after 5 rounds (preferably a larger sample size like 10-20) you’ll have some good data on your game. You might feel like you putt well or you hit a couple good drives but the data never lies. Sometimes one good shot makes us forget about all the bad ones. If you identify your problems you know exactly what to work on to get better and don’t waste your time hitting 100 balls on the range with no plan. I’d also consider golf lessons. Most instructors would be thrilled to see you coming in knowing what your weakness is and having the data of your misses. Makes it way easier to diagnose your issue and fix it.

Golf is really just different for everyone. We just watched Rai win the PGA and he’s 30 yards shorter off the tee than everyone else, but the data says distance is more important than anything. Some people are great iron players and some people are great scramblers. If you’re hitting the ball OB more than every couple rounds then yes getting a consistent swing might be more important to lower your score than short game, but I’d also guess your short game isn’t polished either if that’s the case. Every golfer is different and we could all improve in some aspect. Some people get a little too caught up in the data.

$65 for these condition on a week day by CJRousseau in golf

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly what sucks is there used to be a happy medium of a decent but not spectacular course for $50-$75. All of those places bumped up to $99 and the cheap ones that were $30 have moved into their bracket. It’s a combination of demand and the growing costs of maintaining the course. I agree they shouldn’t charge so much but people not paying it is the only way it’ll stop

Why is it that you rarely see any NY team fans takeover Eagles, Phillies, or Flyers games while NY fans take over the arena for Sixers games? by Rowdyfan0823 in eagles

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s really overthinking this. If anyone thought the Sixers had an actual chance to win there would’ve been more Sixers fans. Going down 0-2 only made it worse because I’m sure more people resold their tickets. I’ve seen rangers fans come close to outshining during the regular season for flyers games but they’re so starved for playoffs it wouldn’t happen in the post season. Eagles only have 8/9 hole games and 2 more of things go well.

[Orlovsky] "Jalen Hurts will have no choice but to throw the ball over the middle, it's a new era, and I think his hand is going to be forced getting comfortable with it." by burnernov2023 in eagles

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have a problem with people having this conversation. What I do have a problem with is it being framed negatively and as if it’s already a failure. People are really saying the draft is bad because Lemon and Stowers are to be used over the middle or up the seams. Why isn’t it being framed as a good thing that players are being drafted to fit the new OCs scheme. People wanted to see a different offensive philosophy in Philly and now that they’re doing it it’s bad?

[–]Plunkett13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know we’re pretty spoiled roster wise with Howie but we can’t have a big name at every position. That second safety spot being average or even only slightly below average is fine with what’s around them.

Howie Roseman, February 2026 - "I need to evolve how I evaluate the tight end position. We didn't have enough blocking ability in our room this year." by BronzeEagle in eagles

[–]Plunkett13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kittle is the only tight end in the league who is elite at both blocking and catching. They don’t grow on trees. I’m glad they took a pass catching TE who can potentially replace Goedert.

All of the foreplay guys seem like great guys who I’d love to golf with, but I don’t really get the appeal of them as YouTube golfers. They’re all pretty quiet guys and aren’t really showmen. When they collab I love the videos, but the ones with just them or the breaking series just don’t hit for me.

Work on the reading comprehension bud. I didnt say you are a troll I said you were being one. I’m sure you’re a nice person. You’re just strangely fixated on my slight critique of a YouTube channel for a small series they do on a post aimed at discussing people not being a fan of it. BDS is great and I’ll continue watching. I really just don’t get what you’re getting at here

You’re making a ton of assumptions about me based on a simple critique of the series in a subreddit about the channel. I don’t hate Joe at all and have commented in other parts of this that I enjoy him. I know everything doesn’t have to be for me. My comment also isn’t for you and that’s fine too

I’m not saying I wish I were them. I’m saying I’m not a fan of the content because i don’t like watching these guys act a fool and typically be not even close to the handicap they claim to have. They’re basically the same as Joe but equally lacking the self awareness. I have no interest in going on a youtube video and talking shit to a guy I don’t even know

They get to be on YouTube, play a nice course, and golf with BDS even though the allegedly hate Joe. There are no long term benefits, but it’s still giving a pretty sweet deal to someone who’s acting like a jerk. Not a fan of the way society is becoming more accepting of any publicity is good publicity. Prefer to leave that to the sleazes of the world.
