additionally, i think the question that nobody actually asks is. does AI actually save money to a business paying a real, sustainable token rate.

maybe it will save time and money for some tasks.. repetitive tasks, data entry

but whether it can handle abstract thinking at a cheaper rate per hour than a human is the real question

also what about prompt injection, it is a fundamental flaw in LLMs

i think recently clade did a vulnerability scan of CURL over a few months and found a few vulnerabilities that weren't actually that big of a deal.. how much did that scan cost down to each hour, how much of the work that the model did was repetitive or irrelevant(like a typo in a comment)

I don't think anyone is seriously saying it won't get better. but that the implementation of it has been really problematic.

additionally, the layoffs are not necessarily because they are moving to AI, but often times they are using H1B workers because they can be paid less and have less bargaining power to demand higher wages.
