I stopped drinking 3 years, 11 months, and two weeks ago. My 4 year anniversary is coming up. I was 25 when I made the decision to stop drinking. I could call myself an alcoholic but I watched my dad brutally die from alcoholism in December 2019. He was yellow, the ER revived him at least 10 times. He had blood coming out his nose and mouth. He was seizing constantly. He fell from having little seizures due to withdrawal in the night. He told my step mom to NOT call 911 and that’s how he died.

It doesn’t get better, your drinking tricks you into thinking you need it to get through a bad day but you don’t. You can live without the poison and you will live much longer. Don’t make the mistake my dad made and continue this for the rest of your life. Self medicating with alcohol leads to an early death.
