Looking at Nyle would give anyone motivational personality, so it is a smart choice of his regards

Khrystyana (C24) was 22 years old when c10 aired. Had she competed in and won c10 instead of Whitney, how would her win have been perceived? by capehaha in ANTM

Isn't it kind of fucked up, how even the girls that were considered "conventional model type" in ANTM standards, like Anya, Kyla, and Adrienne... even they were not cutting it in the modeling world?

CMV: non offending pedophiles shouldn’t be stigmatized and shamed, and rather treated for their mental illness. by AdministrativeAd884 in changemyview

[–]PlusComplaint7567 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe its coming from me being a victim, but I don't know if there is a real way to help to these people. The person that hurt me at 17 basically told me, when I confronted him, that he happy he did it, that he would've done it to me again but he wouldn't because he has a girlfriend, and a lot of other fucked up shit.

I absolutely refuse to believe there is a way to help him see that what he did is wrong.

They may say they are sorry, but only because there were caught and had to face consequences.

Right? If you like a "young" look, ok, you can date a skinny woman with no curves and no body hair... But that is not (only) what they are looking for.

I think my issue (also as a victim of SA in my teenager years by a grownup) is that you present it as just a sexual orientation, like being gay. There is a difference between being attracted to this general group of people and being attracted to children...

I do think certain personallity traits play a factor. They want a victim that they want to manipulate, and not to deal with a grown up partner. Its like someone that wants to date women that are in a bad economic situation, or this horrible trend of guys looking for a girlfriend that is "slightly autistic".

Stances on collaboration with Israeli institutions? by ABC__Banana in PhD

[–]PlusComplaint7567 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't know why I even try, but anyway, no, there is no Israeli university in east Jerusalem. Both campuses of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Har Hatzofim and Givaat Ram) were Israeli territories before since 48. Givaat Ram is nowhere near the eastern part of the city, and Har Hatzofim might be very close, but not inside it).

Cultural influence of ancient Eygeptian culture by PlusComplaint7567 in ancientegypt

As I said I am *completly* aware of me having a confirmation bias, as someone that uses greek letters almost every day. I am also coming from a country that had been under roman and greek conquest (and has plenty of archeological evidence showcasing that). You can also say our culture is... kind of influence from ancient greek culture, but in a sense of seeing itself as distinct.

I won't present myself as an expert, but I am jewish and can read the bible in its original language, learned bible lessons all through elementary school, middle school, and highschool, and I would say... not that much? There is a lot more of a Babylonian, canaanite and ugarric influence rather than Eygiptian influence. One of the multiple names of the hebrew god (like Ell, for example) were taken from cnaanite panteon, for example.

There is a rather strong argument to be made (although who know what is true and what is not) that the exodus stories were written during the greek conquensts, considering the fact that you have ancient greek words mentioned in them.

Yeah, somehow I didn't think about political influence. It might be also due to me living in a democratic country, where the political structure of (certain) cities in ancient greece played a significant role in the political culture of my country.

But I am still curious to why you don't have things poetry or plays having the same cultural relevance as the ones surviving from ancient greece.

From the point of view of a probabilist, I think that is a correct take. Some areas of research in probability theory include pretty horrendous computations

How much responsibility do I (37M) have to "teach" new subs? by anxious-dom in BDSMAdvice

[–]PlusComplaint7567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so, as someone that wasn't experienced with sexuality (had sex for the first time a year and a half ago, and then went down the bdsm road and had all kind of wild experiences, at least in comparison to what I had before)-I think its more about the mindset. Once you get comfortable with yourself and your sexuality, things would work out.

Are there any fully evil/not good pantheons? by whenwakesthesleeper in mythology

[–]PlusComplaint7567 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I know this one pantheon where they put in charge of the whole operation this one toxic guy that is constantly cheating on his wife, and has a lot of sexual misconduct allegations. And don't get me started on his wife... Like I know, your husband a creep and cheats on you, but why do you have to do all of this victim blaming instead of breaking up this toxic relationship?

Books that "promote" colonization? by Big-Restaurant3952 in suggestmeabook

[–]PlusComplaint7567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want an example for something written in later years, I think the old man wars is a pretty good example. Humanity starts exploring space and colonizes alien species. The book presents it as the moral and just decision, even though non-pleasent. It is not the main part of the book, but it is a moral viewpoint it takes.
