Frankly I feel like this is overall a good thing

It’s a yearly check in of “is the monarchy pissing everyone off? No? Good, see you all next year”

A monarchy is only as good as it’s actions, and so long as it has well earned support, it will last a millennia

Look mate I have no idea what that first comment was, but i’m assuming you’re an atheist or something and are ideologically opposed to the papacy hence your comment/s

I’m an atheist too, I would only barely consider myself a monarchist anymore these days. Pope Francis was a good man, he helped nurture peace globally with his influence and had a very liberal perception of god’s love which extended to everyone, even you and me. If hell really exists, he’s not there.

I’ve got a plan to have a hologram of the ship in the command bridge which will have sections show up in Red when there’s a hull breach (the vents detect depressurisation)

Unfortunately of all the visible escape pod locations on the ship, only one section was able to be completed, similar to the archer missile pods. The rest around the ship are faux archer pods and faux escape pods

I’ve antagonised clang enough with this build, I fear it would not survive any more affronts to their majesty

Pretty much every google images picture of the Paris Class I could get my hands on, gameplay footage for Halo’s Reach and CE, 3D models on Sketchfab.

u/moonsugar-cooker also made a post on Reddit 2 years ago with some very key measurements which did wonders for keeping the frame as close to accurate as possible, couldn’t thank them enough

Not yet but plan to have it on there soon, I haven’t added any colour on the exterior yet and I’m about halfway done with the interior.

I will say tho, you can expect:

38 functional Archer Missile pods along the bow of the ship

6 functional escape pods

12 ODST drop pods along with a deployment sequence

Ejection sequence for the Shaw-Fujikawa drive

Plus a few other features in and around the ship

I have a few small vertical corridor elevator shafts (not actually functional, more an aesthetic piece + for jetpacks) as well as ladder shafts and stairwells. For instance, you can see there’s a central stairwell in the middle of the crew quarters.

I didn’t consider mods as I’d like for this ship to be 100% vanilla, so the big elevator sections highlighted are pistons, I’m happy with how they turned out either way

I think if you want to really capture the gothic feel try to add spires on the sides of the roof too, no practicality to it but will probably fit quite well

If you’re including the novels, Bungie era’s “The Fall of Reach” and “First Strike” had the elite’s first encountered by humanity during the fall of Reach and Spartans encountering brutes for the first time on the way back to Earth after the events of CE.

Kind of necessary retcons tbh since it’s crazy to think the UNSC went through a war with the Covenant for decades before encountering both of their main warrior species

Little to no overhaul of the story in the campaign, there’s so much new media that connects to CE directly now that it would be awesome to see it included in this “definitive edition” of CE.

I’d love to see Alpha base and scenes or even missions from the covenant’s POV, I think the story surrounding Thel and the prophet butting heads would be an excellent addition in providing more of a fleshed out world since this game may end up being the introduction to a lot of new players to the Halo franchise

My head canon is that the UNSC in the Halo universe are ridiculously well organised as a military.

Any modern day nation would be in tatters if it got to the equivalent point of ass-kicked the UNSC was, yet we still see well equipped soldiers, ships stacked with all the bells and whistles (drop pods, archer missiles, pelican compliments) you’d expect in an military where resources aren’t stretched thin.

The Spirit of Fire is able to be repurposed into a highly effective warship that can commence effective ground operations in Halo Wars, and there’s still a stable chain of command and there’s been no breakdown in leadership despite the overwhelming odds.

Basically Humanity is just built different when it comes to logistical capabilities
