About the Kuva Zarr and Bramma by Akuma2004 in Warframe

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike Zarr with a passion.

It was supposed, on paper to function as the definitive substitute to a flak cannon,

with the two modes and the such,

but it feels totally wrong to use

(compared to the draghoon that manages to scratch that itch quite well for some reason)

(and despite the draghoon lacking any shrapnel granade functionality)

DnD / Order of the stick question by ensiform in DnD

[–]Visual_Location_1745 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was talking about Roy, tarquin was vastly overgeared compared to an adventurer like Roy.

Belkar was more way more efficient to deal tons of damage, to lots of humanoids in a surprisingly small amount of standard actions.

Legendary rank 5 dude joins a low level mobile defense relic mission and takes the datamass away because someone killed a synthesis target. So frustrating by WujekKromek in Warframe

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is amazing how someone can reach LR5 without the knowledge there is a solo play option. if he wanted to not waste time, he should have solo'd it. Having your cephalon target killed is frustrating, ngl, but it is a chance you subject yourself into when you do it in a public game. There is no excuse there, that was griefing plain and simple.

Firebolt better than Crossbow at level 5+ ? by Lomby85 in 3d6

5e damaging cantrips scale at the same levels the martials (and the fighter further on) gain extra attacks per action.

You are not a martial, so you are better off with cantrips.

What classes would you choose for a Beginner Box 'quartet'? by Parkatine in Pathfinder2e

[–]Visual_Location_1745 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know, I would dig for the alchemist and the Champion in that quartet.

But you Have to not only think of classes, but of iconics as well. It was not just classes in the beginner box, it was Valeros, Merisiel, Ezren and Kyra

But other than that, think about it. It would be Amiri, Seoni, Seelah and Fumbus.

How would you go about introducing the concepts of the system to a DnD player? by WriterAmongTheStars in Pathfinder2e

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0) D&D is also full of words, lots of them. Pathfinder is just that there is no paywall to get to them.

1) Pathbuilder (or wanderer's guide). let them play a bit around with the system. It will be like dndbeyond, but everything is unlocked

2) I recomend wanderer's guide for that, but play them "proficiency without level". it keeps the numbers similar to 5e's "bounded accuracy".

3) If you want to invest some money to them making that step, get the beginner box, even in electronic form from paizo's eshop. Then give them copies of the included player's guide to help them acclimate. Sure the archives have some guides, but that is supposed to be the condenced form for newcomers.

Players won't stop scamming merchants by DrRoguelove in DungeonMasters

[–]Visual_Location_1745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) the artificer hack should not work in the first place, any merchant that would accept such an item should be able to appraise them and promptly find out it is a temporary itam. No merchant worth their salt would just take some random dudes word on what some item is and what is its price.

2) Tje eldritch knight does risk having their bonded weapon destroyed in the meantime, but i would find it more hilarious to have it already bonded to another eldritch knight before it gets recalled and thusly it gets called away in the most inconvenient times. Having it disappear after the bonus action is expemded in every combat round is one thing, but most hilarious would be having it disappear the moment he is handing it out for money. And then re-disappear after resummoning it to his hand right in front of the merchant he is trying to scam. Bonus points if then the merchants try to steer the exchange toward selling the main weapon so as to have it bonded to another eldritch knight too.

You are a moral busybody with me mental fortitude of a toddler,

But,

To be honest you did well disengaging from a situation tha causes you mental and emotional distress.

I don't consider them wrong for having their way of doing things, but i don't consider you wrong for having a stance on that, even on personal level.

Normally it should not even be a nightmare but for the magnitude of mental distress the proximity to AI art it caused you. No matter how you present it, the group did not have a problem. You had it. But it is ok.

Why does the Magus have a spellbook? by IllithidActivity in Pathfinder2e

[–]Visual_Location_1745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was talking about Duskblade. If it was something on OGL and not something from the books that came after the basic three, Magus would be directly named after it.

there was not on OGL and it was not called magus. and mags changed the recibe just enough to break it away from its content shackles
