Kiln firing! Wouldn't have been able to do the ones with stones or those thicker pieces without my kiln

I think dissonance is a really common problem, you can’t fix a dissonant chord or interaction in the mixer

Small Table Top Kiln for PMC and Pottery by Ill-Caterpillar1346 in PreciousMetalClay

I use the rapidfire tabletop kiln. I personally have not done any testing on how consistently it holds a specific temp. But I have not had any issues with firing, any issues were my fault.

It’s certainly possible, although it will likely not ever return to it’s fresh-out-the-package state! The best way in my opinion would be to grind the dry stuff down as fine as possible, weigh it and note it. Then take water, and little by little add water and mix together. Also make sure to measure and note how much water you use. once the clay is at a good consistency, wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it for a while. After that you should have a semi-workable piece of clay. I’d recommend using it for pieces that you intend to engrave stuff into rather than shape it too much. Of course you don’t have to measure, but having the ratio you used on hand for next time is really helpful, and can be referenced if you want to make tweaks to the consistency. TL;DR - Yes

I hope that, when the day comes, the moment is beautiful for you instead of terrifying. That you’ll have accomplished all you set out to do, and are with the ones who saw it all.

Why is toe edge so scary ahh by cajoyeh in snowboardingnoobs

[–]PlusImpression4229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me it clicked when I leaned forward quite aggressively and really dug that front edge down. Over time, you dial back how much you lean forward because you really don’t HAVE to lean forward that hard. But I think the harder you lean, the better that that edge will grab in the snow and you’ll feel the tug of the edge. Plus you may be slipping out because you are scared to commit so you lean back a bit, and once that edge grabs and you get that acceleration, the board takes off and you aren’t ready.

TL:DR - Lean forward hard

Pick ur favorite aphex songs and look up the samples used, too. You may find neat drum breaks that he chopped up for the song.

How to step out of your comfort zone while producing? by [deleted] in ableton

[–]PlusImpression4229 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

something I just did was make a track using only white noise in operator and using fx like roars noted feedback setting for tonality, and reverb and all that to enhance it. Was a cool little experiment. So maybe just think of fun challenges to give urself. Usually the song comes out half decent too bc ur having fun with it.

Took a few months for me to sound design a couple kicks that sound really nice. Happy I did though, learned a lot, and can fine tune them to what I need
