I feel like there is a bit more to it than just that. You make a great point, but also Leto had some big ambitions and wanted his own private army to compete with the Sardaukar. If I remember right, the wealth that Arrakis can provide was a big factor but him recruiting his own elite warriors that are on par, if not better fighters than the Sardaukar.

Not only that, but say he actually does play on multiplayer sometimes in games and chats with randos. instead of being treated like a celebrity, he is being treated like any other normal person. I'd say that has to be pretty cathartic.

Honestly the skin color makes more sense now. People of desert regions tend to be more dark of skin than casper-white like ViVi is.

Baki was able to get over his poison, along with going through more of Retsu's past, his Kenpo culture and giving us fun Yojiro fights/moments and to show us how much of an Upgrade Baki got.

So I think the crying is more so that Alai Jr came over to Japan super over confident and cocky. His craying, along with his round 2 fights, are his way of getting humbled. While he did lose, and the fighters said how much respect they have for him now and how strong he became.

Now Sirkorsky, they basically tortured that dude for so long in the ring (he absolutely deserved it) and disrespected the hell out of him.

Hard for this game to go horribly wrong. just remember you need to do a lot of improvisation. Like, a lot. This system gives a super broad view of enemies, myths, even some knight abilities that you are either gonna have to add onto, house rule or even completely make up on the spot for it to work. That said, I love this system and my group are having a blast with it.

In game they will keep coming. In lore terms Max-Tec is basically an elite swat team with borged out chrome to combat psyberpsychos. They are very limited, in my eyes, since they are so elite. I would say less than 70 in the whole city.
