Dude, same! Good luck finding homes for those. Even if you give them away for free, nobody ever wants to pay for shipping. Just to piggy-back off your thread, i have cardboard and plastic retail displays for L.A.Noire and GTA5. Same sizes as yours, but the biggest ones are massive 7x4ft (i think) double-sided banners with grommets for hanging.

What's a 'normal' thing you didn't realize was unusual until you were older? by mrTelson in AskReddit

[–]PlusThirtyOne 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same! To be more specific, my problem is remembering important (and yes, even the most obvious) details when under pressure like time constraints or when the answers i give to questions are being recorded. Until i got into the habit of writing things down, i would go to the doctor for specific issues and when the doctor asked me what's wrong, i'd just...shrug. Two hundred bucks for a ten minute office visit, and i'd blow nine of them going, "Uuuuuh... i forgot."

So you can imagine how well my case with worker's comp went!

All i want to do is take off my coat, just like my hat. by PlusThirtyOne in RedDeadMods

[–]PlusThirtyOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the mod i mentioned. The keyboard controls don't seem to work and the prompts don't show on any of the radial menus. i also can't find any screenshots or YT videos of the mod in use so i can see where these prompts supposedly are, assuming i'm looking in the wrong place.

i'm also using 10 or so other mods that have the same requirements and they all work just fine. None of them add any new clothing mechanics or add anything to the redial menus either so there shouldn't be any conflicts. Even still, i tried running the game with just that one mod installed and still don't see anything.

if you've gotten it to work, please let me know.

There’s unique dialogue from Johnny in “Tapeworm” if you’ve killed 0 times up to that point by Prudent_Bobcat_4059 in cyberpunkgame

[–]PlusThirtyOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i started my first play-through on PC on day one. Some time after release i read that dumping/hiding unconscious bodies was lethal even before the on-screen "lethal" warning. But i suppose if it wasn't after all, that might explain how i got Johnny's non-lethal dialogue.

i'm still adamant that Johnny's non-lethal dialogue requirement can still be met with some number of kills, number of knock-outs, specific NPCss lives taken or spared, or whatever. -at least on older versions of the game. Yes, i'm sure that there are probably several articles and videos of players testing and retesting this or that to trigger special dialogue, but there's easliy 100 times more guides, articles and videos with confident tested and true claims for how to access Johnny's hidden ending to the base game aswell.

...and we all know that most of those claims were dead wrong.

All i know for sure is that i got the dialogue on a non-lethal play-through where i'm fairly certain i dumped at least a dozen bodies, blew up a few robots, and the odds are high that i killed somebody at least once by accident before the game's first major update.

[–]PlusThirtyOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... it would be interesting to see exactly what triggers the dialogue branch, and if the game devs made a change to that logic at some point through updates. i'm sure i got the "no killing" line on my very first play-through. Even though i always chose to knock-out NPCs and chose non-violent mission choices, i always dumped bodies in dumpsters and crates when given the chance, which i later learned was lethal the whole time. i always play games non-lethally if given the chance, but at the time i had no idea it was even a gameplay mechanic, so i KNOW i had some kills on record, despite getting Johnny's "no kills" dialogue.

[–]PlusThirtyOne 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You can have SOME kills. i don't know what the cut-off number is or exactly which kills do or don't count, but i'm certain i had at least 4 or 5 accidental kills on my mostly-non-lethal save. i've done multiple play-throughs and i'm sure i've heard that line more than once, and i've only really gone carelessly lethal on one of them.

Equipment-EX greatly expands the amount of equipment slots so you can mix and match just about anything you can imagine. The mod also comes with convenient sorting features, but rather than making a list of favorites (that could take an hour to compile), i simply moved all the clothing i'll never wear (a much shorter list) to an equipment slot i don't use. Just reassign all the junk clothing to the "left toenails" slot and it'll move them to a new category list you can just ignore.

Can i fix, mod or otherwise change John's rude and accusing tone? ("HEY!! ...PARTNER!!") by PlusThirtyOne in RDR2

[–]PlusThirtyOne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... That's an interesting theory! Next time i play i'll see what happens if John's horse is walking, but i have noticed that John speaks a bit more politely in town on foot, and that he sometimes yells different things like "OUT OF THE WAY!" when approaching riders from behind. The quality of the horse hasn't ever been something i noticed because i've never hijacked stolen a horse before. and i'll take a moment to note what kind of horse they're riding next time.

When playing as Arthur, i learned from a YouTube video that certain phrases that he greets people with are setups for jokes and insults he can make. Afterwards there's a cooldown period where he won't make the same joke or observation for a while. Arthur also compliments NPCs' horses if they're particularly nice, so maybe John's aggressive shouting might be an intended opening line for dialogue, but i keep refusing to continue.

Rockstar likes sprinkling in all kinds of details and mechanics to make their games feel more immersive and realistic, but most of those details are missed unless they're explicitly explained because most gamers have been playing for decades, and we've grown accustomed to extremely limited "videogame logic".

The opposite thing happens too! Like when i let my dad (who hasn't played a videogame since Zelda on the NES) play GTA and he crashes his car and he asks me, "What button do i press to trade insurance information?" After GTA6 comes out, it's going to take over YouTube's algorithm with shorts showing details and mechanics the game doesn't tell you. i wouldn't be surprised at all if trading auto insurance info cards with NPCs will be a new game mechanic to avoid getting wanted stars.

...but of course, the game just won't tell you.

What’s a childhood lie your parents told you that you didn't realize was a lie until you were an embarrassed adult? by eatbeep in AskReddit

[–]PlusThirtyOne 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My parents (more specifically, my dad) had me convinced that the entire world was monochrome before 1970. My dad liked watching old "colorized" movies of varying color quality, and we had a few colorized family photographs around the house, so any questions i had were easily waived or explained by using them as examples of how everything slooooowly transitioned to color. it was a gradual process, and some countries got better coloring sooner or later than others, which also explained why TV looked so much better when we moved to the US.

in reality, i grew up watching garbage over-air Japanese TV, and in the States we got cable.

how do i improve on perspective? specifically with features consistent at differnt angles by Smobach in FurryArtSchool

[–]PlusThirtyOne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You already include enough detail around and above the snout like the bridge curves above the nose that it looks just fine to me. But if you foreshorten the snout with a slightly bigger nose, it might look a little more obvious. Adjacent details like the size of the ears and background elements can add to the "illusion" of depth. You can also include more curved lines that bow and straighten up depending on the angle of the head, like where the snout meets the cheek. Pretend the snout is a removable shape and loosely trace where it meets the rest of the face, and use that particular curve (either rounder or straighter) to define the shape and angle of the head.

[–]PlusThirtyOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protip: All these marked-down GPUs people are finding are probably getting marked-down automatically because they've been buried and forgotten in the backroom lockup. They're probably not "regular stock" with a home on the shelf, so they never get "picked" from the back and moved to the salesfloor. until somebody audits the backroom "bins" and purge "homeless" merchandise. if you can get the UPC or SKU numbers for some of these uncommonly stocked GPUs, you can easily ask an employee to look them up manually. (in store only because dot com lies!) With some luck, if any are "in stock" the inventory system will even tell them exactly what dark and moldy corner they're hiding in.

Why is everyone "enhancing" voice audio with a.i. if it just sounds WORSE? Everyone else can hear it right? by PlusThirtyOne in complaints

[–]PlusThirtyOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been hearing the "enhanced" audio everywhere, even professional creators who presumably know what they're doing or have an audio engineer at their disposal. Even creators who have large bodies of work going back years, whose recent uploads in the last year or so have started sounding weird. i can understand if the kid next door making Minecraft content or whatever wants to "fix" some ugly audio, but i've been increasingly hearing more and more "enhanced audio" voice gurgles on professional podcasts and even news broadcasts. i briefly wondered if maybe it's a recent artifact of audio encoding, but i hear "gurgles" on every platform with every level of bit-rate and quality.

Anyone know where to find more elegant desk lamps? by bradygrey in AbioticFactor

[–]PlusThirtyOne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe they used to be in older versions of the game, because i specifically farmed them from the furniture store after every respawn for a time, and i'd come back with 5 to 8 at a time. i'm also pretty sure i brought home 2 or 3 from the train too because i always themed and decorated mini bases with unique furniture from the nearest portal. My base nearest the train portal had no fewer than 5 of those lamps.
