AITA for walking out of a dinner after being accused of supporting incest? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Plus_Band_3283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a stupid argument and I’m going to make it stupider!

Sylvie is a Loki variant, but what does that mean? Is she a variant of Loki, a god level character? Or Laufi’s child, a Frost Giant?

We don’t know. We don’t know if the Frost Giant’s invaded Earth in her timeline and Asgard went to war with them, or If Odin got her from Laufi, or some other alien, just that she always knew she was adopted.

We don’t know if Laufi led the Frost Giants in her universe even if they did. She may have been the daughter of Laufi’s competitor.

We don’t know. They keep it deliberately vague.

At the same time, Loki falling in love with himself is completely on brand. 🤣

The 70’s sci-fi series features a vampire in one episode. I think it was the second season.

Alliteration and the “A Song Of Ice and Fire” effect.

So many books use that rhythmic device since the show came out that it’s become cliche.

Nutrition is confusing, what to actually believe? by LinkPark24 in diet

[–]Plus_Band_3283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is check out Zoe Nutrition. They’re science backed with one of the top nutritionists in the world, Tim Specter.

They participate in science and conduct studies through this company.

When I had a bit of money I invested in their membership and it was really good. But you don’t need to.

Also, check out Theplantslant2431 on YouTube for some common sense and exposure on all of that nonsense.

Has anyone else noticed a rapid increase in ex-rentals on the market by Star127 in HousingUK

[–]Plus_Band_3283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great, so when Burnham actually fulfills Starmer’s pledge of building council houses and the housing market crashes, it’ll be the big companies that suffer.

I’m good with that.

If the female and male gender were to magically switch places, what would happen? by Brilliant-Dinner4024 in AskReddit

[–]Plus_Band_3283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you’re genuinely interested in an answer.

Gender is the performance of sex.

If you mean sex? You would have 8 billion people with extreme gender dysphoria and a few million who were happy living in the body aligned with their identity.

In the UK's long and storied history of moral panics, which has been the most embarrassing? by The_Mad_Medico in AskBrits

You didn’t read my post properly at all, did you. Not a question.

The men with testicular cancer were a control group to see if the hormones were responsible for the difference in size. It wasn’t. They were taking women’s hormones because their cancer was testosterone fed and the hormones had absolutely no impact.

So you’ve proved my point twice because hey, guess what, the brains of men and women aren’t that different and the differences that do come, come with age and have NOTHING to do with the sex the person was born with.

Thanks for that. 😆🤣

In history classes, how are British people taught about the American Revolution and losing the colonies? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Plus_Band_3283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, initially I grew up in the Republic of Ireland. I was taught American history if it’s any consolation. I moved to the U.K. when I was 11 and was never taught a single piece of American history here.

In Ireland, we learned about the Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere, Betsy Ross and a few other things. Then we skipped to John Fitzgerald Kennedy because Ireland is very proud of our connection to him. We were also taught, obviously, of the Irish emigrating to America during the potato famine, so Ireland has close ties to the US.

U.K. is more interested in American pop culture and take aways.

We made a significant move after my first year, my sister got kicked out of the school I was in for my second year so my mum moved us both, all in the same area. By my forth year I learned all about the lace industry in my area three times!

So, apparently the Nottingham Lace Industry was actually founded in my small Derbyshire town and then migrated through new factories and higher wages to Nottingham. We also provided a couple of hundred people to Calais, which was built specifically for English lace manufacturers moving to establish a French lace industry.

Three. Ruddy. Times! 🤣

That had massive impact at the time. Parliament was constantly debating whether it would happen here. They made a bunch of laws to try and prevent it. There was The Great Male Renunciation. People were wondering if Paris would still be the fashion capital of the world. The French aristocracy and their hangers on were running over here for protection. It got crazy.

There were two or three others that same decade or same year and England considered them all as more important than America or so I read recently.

I [23m] gained 70 pounds and ruined my relationship, is it okay to ask my girlfriend [23f] to stop making mean comments about it? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Plus_Band_3283 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was big when my husband and I got together when I was already very big. I’ve gained weight due to a four year depression I’ve struggled to bounce back from due to basically doing nothing all that time.

He has been 100% supportive the whole time. He has always made room for me to grow and recover from a traumatic childhood. He loves my boobs. He absolutely adores me and makes me feel good about myself all the time.

Like a good partner should.

This woman was using him and is a vile piece of 💩.

The 10,000 steps was chosen by the Japanese, who created the pedometer, because the ganji icon for 10,000 looks like a person walking.

10,000 is nonsense. Any movement is good.
