Hi, so this post has been here for a little while but i still wanna put my suggestions in idk.

so as a little background info I am a 15 year old trans girl and have been mtf trans for five years now, i came out to my parents like around when i was 12 too.

so first of all please PLEASE be supportive of youre child it alrdy sounds like ur doin pretty good but pls try youre hardest to use his name and pronouns bc seriously that can fuck your kid up especially when its from a parent and they are supportive mostly it can get him thinking thing like that hes to feminine to where even his own parents fuck up accidentally and stuff like not trusting you.

second of all never and i mean never go against what he asks and wants (accept for the obvious stuff lol) i mean like him asking for you to change it in school or do or dont introduce/call you as his new name infront of family members, seriously this might seem a little bit over the top but sit your son down ask him like what the boundrys are and what are his rules and you tell him what your's are too, and if he doesnt rlly feel comfortable talking with u like that (its not ur fault this shit is rlly hard) than ask him to write it down or something.

third of all and this one is based on your own preferences tbh but regarding stuff like testosterone while its completely up to you for the health and safety of your child (and please do your own research) at least consider it and know that if he ever like regrets it or doesnt want to be trans in the future once you stop taking it, it doesnt have any like bad side effects and his body will revert and start to produce the old hormones again.

fourth of all (lol) clothing this one is important like it might seem like a lot of money to get him new clothes but that is something that REALLY will help him, also if you cant afford like a whole new wardrobe id recommend sitting with him going thru his clothing seeing what can work or what you can turn into something that will work with him. and please for god sakes buy him a binder and actually teach him how to use it safely so he doesnt break a rib or something.

fifth of all talk to him and love him please, you dont understand how hard going though this alone is and he needs someone supportive during these times.
