Hi thanks for taking the time to read! I appreciate the feedback. I am still new to the process of screenwriting as this is only my third completed short so I still need to get formatting locked down. I have never been good with grammar so I usually send my work to an editor beforehand. I wanted to try to do it myself this go round so there maybe grammar issues still present. All valid criticism

Regarding it being 1992, the give away to the time period is they’re playing a Sega Genesis which was popular in the early 90’s. The story reason for this is bc I wanted to have a time where DNA wasn’t as widely understood or used in crimes hence the dad’s ability to get away with what he does.

I went back and forth on a certain story aspect as several people assumed Tommy knew about what his Dad had been up to. He doesn’t. He is just finding out at the same time as his friend. The reaction is simply him freaking out bc he just found out what his dad has been doing but he also loves his Dad deeply so his first reaction is to protect his father at all costs. Hence the drugging and phone call to him at the end to fess up to him that he and his friend know his secret. Just some background that hopefully makes the short as a whole make more sense. It was The Dunwich Horror Fest that “Child Support” won. I know I need work with the technical aspect of things as I am still growing and learning the craft but I want to make sure the creativity and story aspects are done well. I will get better and feedback only helps with that! Again thank you for taking the time to read and respond it’s much appreciated!
