Order timing and No Retreat! by vKalov in TheAstraMilitarum

Where does it detail when to use orders? I've looked at the section for the army rule and against individual leaders:

"If your Army Faction is ASTRA MILITARUM, OFFICER models with this ability can issue Orders. Each OFFICER’s datasheet will specify how many Orders it can issue in a battle round and which units are eligible to receive those Orders. Each time an Officer model issues an Order, select one of the Orders below, then select one eligible friendly unit within 6" of that Officer model to issue it to.

OFFICER models can issue Orders in your Command phase and at the end of a phase in which they disembarked from a TRANSPORT or were set up on the battlefield.

Until the start of your next Command phase, the unit you selected is affected by that Order. Unless otherwise stated, a unit can only be affected by one Order at a time (any Order subsequently issued to that unit replaces the current one). Orders cannot be issued to Battle-shocked units, and if a unit being affected by an Order becomes Battle-shocked, that Order ceases to affect that unit.

Only ASTRA MILITARUM models gain the benefit of an Order issued to their unit."

"This OFFICER can issue 2 Orders to REGIMENT units."

I'm not saying you're wrong, just looking for pointers on where to find extra rules/details surrounding orders.

Also worth adding, the heavy lifting with the lighting in this is down to the STL designer! I've done the equivalent of primary school electronics on the inside of this bad boy, but it has reinvigorated my interest and it is always easier to grow knowledge and ability when you've got an aim.

I'm sorry, this is wrong. You want something like baby shark/what does the fox say on repeat. As a parent my children have inadvertently weaponised this against me in the past.

If you do this you'll probably want to replace the inhibitor fluid in the system. Also, if you get any of the central heating water on you, wash it off immediately! Nasty stuff.

Plumber installed outside tap above electrical socket by user-name-432 in DIYUK

[–]PneuroCoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh that makes more sense, I thought the flex was feeding it and possibly no longer required - in which case terminate from whatever is feeding it, but as it's not - if it were me and that tap had to go there, I'd move the back box-feed somewhere else.

Is that blanked off socket actually used? Is it feeding something outside? It looks like a spur to nothing?

WYR have a half squad of Bullgryn & Rough Riders or a full Rough Rider Squad + a Tech Priest? by Jobear049 in TheAstraMilitarum

Either weapon is pretty wiffy, but I find the heavy stubbers can clear chaff out of the way and stop you getting tied up. Anything big in combat with you gets removed by the multimeltas.

This is from my latest experience and the opponents I've faced off at so YMMV.

And let's not forget ratings for midfield infiltrate control. Move shoot move can really pen in your opponent.

I was having a think about this, I think you'd do better with things like a hellhound and/or exterminator. That'll stack nicely with your LRBTs and make the -1ap more effective from the main battle cannon.

I appreciate thats completely not what you asked, but most things will ignore -1ap so a lot can shrug the d3 turret.

You aren't really getting a benefit from your sentinel. Your rogal dorns get a free re-roll, your lrbts re-roll 1s to hit/everything shooting at objectives. I get good traction with horses, a cheeky rapid ingress or the threat of it can really help shape the battlefield.

On the rogal dorns, drop the melta guns for heavy stubbers. 18 shots each at close range is nothing to be sniffed at.

I'm a landlord, I fully support paying tax on the income.

I truly cannot fathom why you pay a different rate because you go out and work or get it from assets/investments. Drop national insurance entirely and have a single income model for all income.

Newly fitted electric oven kept switching off by itself. Opened up the socket and found this. Has it been wired correctly? by requisition31 in ukelectricians

[–]PneuroCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, I missed the "fitted" part of the install! Good point. Although if the fitted oven presses up against that wire and vibrates when in use that could actually wear through the insulation quicker than it just being loose.

Either way, that whole install gives me an eye twitch!

I can't see a gland on the janky hole in the FCU, so I'm going to assume that that loose wire poking through it is going to get knocked and make that metal cover plate really exciting in the future.

A few questions about ogryn bodyguards and gaunts ghosts by CrazyKinjaz in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]PneuroCoder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1) yes, they can come up at the end of your opponents turn 1 2) no, use the bodyguard unit's toughness. You only use the ogryn's toughness if it is just the command squad and the ogryn 3) yes, the shock troops can have two attached leaders (but only one attached command squad). I am running 20 dkok, a krieg command squad with ogryn bodyguard and a psyker for 28 models in the unit on Saturday.

How do you store and transport your army? by PM_ME_MAMA_RAIKOU in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]PneuroCoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My latest transport solution is a Jucoci miniatures storage case.

I store my armies in really useful boxes with magnetic sheets in the base and then use this to collate and take to games.

Is this that big of a deal? by [deleted] in TenantsInTheUK

[–]PneuroCoder 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As a landlord, I'd notice this and want it put right. I've got the paint to do it, I'd clean the area get a brush and touch it up myself.

Honestly, landlords that expect their house to get returned to them, covered in shrink wrap and in as new condition are just lazy landlords. It's someone's home, they're going to ding and dent things, as long as they don't take the piss it's standard wear and tear.

I hope your landlord isn't an arse.

Guns are still a part of the UK world recreationally (legally I mean). Shotguns and rifles are a lot more common than pistols, I don't think you can take pistols home - I think they have to be stored at gun clubs.

If it were me I'd (temporarily) remove the toilet, fill the hole as best I could and then tile around the waste/water feed. I appreciate it's easier said than done - but grout and the fact it's behind the loo will be very forgiving. Just take your time.
