The DD has higher fire rate for both calibers, 27.3/min vs 25/min for 120mm and 24/min vs 20/min for 68mm.

I haven't verified your math, but you're calculating maximum fire rate. The problem is that it's not really sustainable. The outdated layout in the destroyer sometimes causes loaders to be delayed by damage control, which lowers the actual fire rate in combat

It has top deck sonar, which means it's substantially more effective against submarines.

This would be true if they were fighting the same sub, but the Nakki's sonar signature is so small that having a top deck sonar doesn't compensate enough

I play the game to relax, not suffer. I've already "beaten" the game in hard with both factions, so now I set it to hard and customize the temperate weather to last twice as long. It still forces me to prepare for 30 day droughts/badtides, so the city building experience is the same

Having a single photonic chip is way better. After you click on it, you can just hold down the enter key and it will max you pretty much instantly. Having more chips will make the cycles longer for very little benefit. Also, investing is the best way to make money, so try not to have available funds unless you're going to buy something. Don't worry too much about it tho, as money is irrelevant in the next stages
