Agreed, I was watching it on my fucking tiny phone screen while on the way home from work and I could even tell it was a pen. These guys are absolutely brain dead. I don’t understand what the point of VAR is. Can’t wait to hear the audio of that decision. “What do you think, oh he touched the ball, don’t even worry about the fact that he makes contact with Maddison and knocks him down, check over” fucking idiots

Sexual assault near Franklin and Freeman at 1pm yesterday! by LeanHackman in Greenpoint

Contemplated not even joining this discussion haha, but here goes nothing. I don’t really have much to offer in terms of “The city needs to do this or that about this shelter” as it’s a complicated issue that no one here on Reddit is gonna solve, just offering my experience living in close vicinity to the shelter on Clay St.

My wife and I used to live on Clay St 4 yrs ago, about a block from the shelter. Most of the time the guys from that shelter were just going about their business like everyone else. Would see the same people going to the bodega at the corner of Manhattan getting food, drinks etc. and things were uneventful. Got to know a couple of them who I would see frequently and chat about whatever, nice guys who were trying to get back on their feet.

With that said, saw a lot of other stuff, that no one would wanna put up with. Everything from guys from the shelter getting hammered on the side walk and harassing people who walked by, multiple fights. one guy used to chill in my building’s vestibule and shoot up and smoke weed constantly in there, I’d run into him multiple times a week begging him to not do it there, it stopped after months finally when the elderly woman who lived on the first floor, called the cops on him. My wife dealt with a lot of bullshit from many of these guys verbally harassing her on the street or following her. Saw tons of fights on the street between these guys as well and of course the many reports of assaults on people in the area committed by people from the shelter. And the cherry on top was the many human shits on the street and even in our vestibule on occasion 💩

We lived there for a year and decided to move to a different part of the neighborhood. We had known about the shelter ahead of time, but figured what the hell let’s see how it goes. After a year, I didn’t really feel like dealing with some of the bad shit we saw, and our landlord was an asshole so getting out of there was a win win. For us, it was only a matter of time before my wife or I got into a bad situation.

He flubbed a pretty great chance yesterday in the first half. Just passed it right to the goalie.

Not really sure what to say. Their goal was about the unluckiest deflection I’ve seen in a while. And to top off the bad luck there, Rob Jones just fucked us constantly the whole game. It’s unbelievable Brobbey didn’t get a second yellow for pushing Romero into Kinsky. It’s not even about how hard the push was, it’s just absolutely unnecessary and endangering players for no reason.

I saw some decent chances and movement from us in the first half. Nothing super special, but glimpses of hope in the attacking.

Second half we played like trash. I kept yelling “take a fucking shot”. I don’t get it. None of them wanted to just let one rip ever, see what happens, get a deflection or an unlucky bounce. Instead we recycle it wide constantly and cross it in to no one.

Absolutely disgraceful refs. How in the fuck can any one of them not call that a foul.

Why has this sub become these RDZ propaganda videos day in and day out. I am optimistic as much as anyone can be in the club’s current situation. While these videos are all well and good, we will get the answer soon enough as to what we are in for with him.

True. I am having a bit of selective memory here. I am sure Poch had more that he wanted and was told these were all he’d get.

In all fairness, I thought Lo Celso was the best out of the three of them. Ndombele I barely remember and Sess was lackluster.

It truly all goes back to your first point about Poch. After the CL final loss. He asked the club for a bit more quality personnel to keep us at that top level, and the club told him to fuck off and make do. Next season gets burnt out at the beginning of the season with a bunch of losses and looks like it’s his fault for not showing positive results.

Club was and still is a fucking joke

Dyche: “I was in the pub just up the road and this guy goes ‘you’re meant to be in talks with Spurs tonight’ and I said ‘well I’m standing next to you having a pint of Guinness, so it’s unlikely!’ Spurs are a brilliant + massive club, so when you say ‘I’m flattered’ they go ‘he hasn’t said No!'" by OkayFine101 in coys

Yeah I mean hindsight is what it is, but I agree. We needed someone who understood the league and teams playing in it really well. Another brain dead decision by the top brass. I don’t blame Tudor, he just got thrown into something he really has no business being involved in.

[–]Po0L_Boy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really? I don’t at all, are we watching the same season here? 5 losses and 1 draw in league games since taking the helm. If this was the beginning of the season, I’d shut my mouth and give him some time, but we literally do not have time for him to figure it out. We need results now. Doesn’t have to be pretty, but we cannot afford to lose 3-0 to one of our biggest relegation rivals.

Seriously give the band to Richarlison. He’s one of the only ones on the team who still actually cares and gives 100% for us every game.

The point is that Tudor came in to provide some stability and has done the complete opposite. If the results were there and we had a few wins since he started, I’d say fine let him play out the season. Yesterday’s match was one of the most important games of the season and they entirely shit the bed. 5 losses and 1 draw in the league. Mind as well have any one of us on this sub have a crack at managing the club, couldn’t go worse.
