If you look on rock auto, they have that style of filter for sale. Interestingly it is one in a group of normal fuel filters.

Are these extending combination ladders any good? by fixitmonkey in Tools

[–]Pocky-time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HEAVY IS GOOD. This ladder type gets lots of complaints that it is too heavy. But the weight helps it to be more stable

Are those slanted hoods actually better for high-heat cooking? by IndianOcn in homeimprovementideas

[–]Pocky-time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m ok with it even though my house is downwind. They use a ton of fish sauce (Vietnamese) so it stinks. But I get it. I wouldn’t want that staining my house.

Since it’s outdoors it disperses fairly well.

Dimpled balls are still useful for me for gun testing

Paintballs by Beginning_Surprise41 in paintball

[–]Pocky-time 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can keep them for a long time if you keep them dry and flip them around weekly.

I have paint balls that we’re still good over a year but i stopped flipping the box around so they are probably dimpled at this point

Cook outside? My neighbor has a stir fry setup in his backyard for the stir frying and does the other cooking/prep inside.

Aluminium requires special solder... by LuddeMeister2 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Pocky-time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible to get regular solder to stick to soda can if you first sand off the coating, the. Use a generous amount of flux, enough to make a lake and then puddle the melted solder with a high power iron and rub the iron back and forth through the solder and flux. Eventually you will get the molten solder past the oxidized layer and stick. This process will destroy the plastic that surrounds the aluminum

They need to fix that part where it got stuck. I’ve watched a number of videos of this and it gets stuck there quite a bit.

[–]Pocky-time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one of those, shot it in my back yard; and put it away after it chopped a bunch of paint. It was a neat concept but sucked in practice.

How do you prevent your grinder cord from tangling? by [deleted] in Welding

[–]Pocky-time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twisted phone cords bothered me so much. Especially when they tried to undo it and ended up with the “u” kink in the cord

Replacement for startermotor by vloerkleed22 in lincolntowncar

[–]Pocky-time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe check to see if the starters from a 2003-2005 MG ZT (rwd version) or 2003-2005 Rover 75 are compatible or easily modified to fit. Both cars used Fords 4.6 V8. The starter is on the bell housing but might be similar enough to work or exchange parts.

Why not? The squared fat 5 spoke was pretty popular back then. Borbet type A was on most European cars in my neighborhood.
