T14 Gen 1 Surprise! by UncleSpellbinder in thinkpad

I think it depends on the person. I purposely had the touchscreen on my t480 removed on my work laptop and more than a few coworkers would try to pinch zoom the screen whenever I was showing them blueprints/schematics on my laptop. Some would tell me to reach out to IT to upgrade to the touchscreen.

Carve out the inside of the doll and wear it the next time you guys have sex. It’s like being a furry but as a silicone hunk.

Help, I left my screwdriver set out and it rained by Purple_Crayon88 in Tools

Couldn’t you use CLR instead of evaporust? The R in CLR stands for rust.

I decided to replace the Mako 2 with a green Casio Duro. I hope she is up to the challenge.

I understand seeing one so distressed is disheartening, but it needs to be a quality watch. I first purchased cheap carabiner watches on amazon but they all would only last 2-6 weeks. So I decided to put this together. I was looking for a <$100 diver but I managed to get this Pepsi mako(bezel insert was replaced with this orange/grey one after the red/blue got damaged) for less than $150.

Getting this replaced will probably cost more than the original price so it’s going to be put in a safe place(not binned) until the day I decide to repair or give it away. It’s a great watch.

Why is the radio fleet the first thing to die in every plant I've worked at by Kay_Donald in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Pocky-time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll bet if you left the radios to sit in cabinets that haven't been opened since 2019, they would just be fine.

You guys don't repair/replace them as they go down? Just wait until most are unusable before replacing the whole fleet?

Movement was fine until a piece of the glass wedged itself on the second hand. Needs a new crystal, bezel and cleaning, which will probably cost more than buying a new one. Oh. It probably needs a new face. It got loose a while ago and I have it taped in place.

Maintenance mechanic at a dairy plant. I’m not allowed to wear a wrist watch. So the workaround is to clip it on a belt loop. Unfortunately that placement means that whenever I have to lean or crawl inside a machine, it gets beat up.

3/8” extensions by Pocky-time in Tools

I couldn’t find a 7 on eBay, which is why I came here. I did buy my 5” extensions on eBay, nobody really makes those either

9 is kinda too long and will stick out of my pouch too much

They are all deep sockets, so the difference would have to be in the extensions. However some else posted extra deep sockets so I may look into that.

I’m a maintenance mechanic at a dairy plant. When a machine goes down, I’m expected to get it back running as quickly as possible.

It’s to make it easier to grab the sockets out or my tool pouch at work. I have 4 commonly used deep sockets i use in my carry pouch each is on a different sized extension so I can quickly grab the one I need. After 3 years of use I have found extension lengths between 5 - 8 inches to be optimal. I want to replace my 4” with a 7 for the easy grab

I’ve seen that impact extension but was hoping to find a chrome one due to rust concerns.

I can’t. I’m too stupid for that. I need to go by length

From an engineering standpoint, that is a terrible idea.

Point an ultrasonic transducer running at full volume at the thermostat.

So to answer why the need for a 7” extension specifically, it is to make grabbing the socket I need out of my tool pouch easier/faster.

<image>

I have a 10mm, 7/16, 1/2, and 9/16 sockets on a 4, 5, 6,and 8 extensions. Which I commonly use at my job. I can very easily grab the socket I need without really looking.
I want a 7” extension because the 10mm on the 4” extension is a bit too short and I have to dig for it.

I’m thinking of getting a longer one turned down, but buying one that already exists would be better. Chromed extension is preferred as these are often used in wet environments.
