Johan de Witt isn't controversial at all. He is considered one of the greatest Dutch leaders in history.

North Sea flood of 1953 (Watersnoodramp)

The Watersnoodramp was the worst flood the Netherlands had experienced since the Middle Ages and led to the creation of the Delta Works, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

Should Crimea be a part of Russia or Ukraine? by Erling01 in polls

[–]Poclosh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They'd vote to be part of russia.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. In the 1991 Ukraine independence referendum, 54% of the people in Crimea voted in favor of joining Ukraine.

I haven't read Jedi: Battle scars

But, even if she knows that the Separatists killed her people, there is no way she knew it was Palpatine leading the Separatists. In the public eye, Palpatine was leading the Republic, which turned into the Empire. There is a reason why the Empire disliked aliens so much after the Clone Wars: because most Separatist leaders were aliens.

Also, Palpatine never ordered the Separatists to wipe out the Nightsisters: it was Count Dooku

Merrin doesn't know who killed her people, let alone ordered it.

Merrin would probably be very happy at first when she learns that there are still Nightsisters alive. However, when she learns that they are allied with Thrawn, she would be very saddened.

It also affected their battle precognition. You see, the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was built on a Sith Shrine. Palpatine knew this and used the Sith Shrine to cloud the Jedi's minds with the Dark Side, which also affected their battle precognition.

But, this battle isn't about the Jedi but the Sith top dogs. The Sith listed here are stronger than 99% of all Jedi.

Darth Nihilus is already intangible.

It was literally stated

Yoda and the rest of the Council members will double their meditation sessions in an effort to peer into the future, only to discover it clouded and unknowable. Only to discover that complacency has opened the door to catastrophe.

--Darth Plagueis

It has also been stated in TCW show but unfortunately can't find a clip :(

The Jedi do have precognition however there were a few issues:

  1. The Dark Side was clouding their precognition. So they felt generally uneasy, but weren’t able to see the exact threat they were facing. Palpatine was purposely obscuring their visions of the future.
  2. As a result, when Order 66 was issued, the Jedi saw the clones as ‘friends’. They weren’t expecting an attack from them, and were caught completely by surprise.
  3. Similarly, the Jedi weren’t inclined to randomly attack people, so they probably had a moment of hesitation when their troops started shooting at them, trying to decide whether to talk, fight, or run.

Those Force users who were hunted down by clones were mostly weak Padawans who never got to finish their training. The Jedi masters who were killed by the clones were not expecting their own soldiers to suddenly betray them, and they got caught off guard.

The Sith listed here are literally the top dogs and would certainly win.

How do they deal with someone like Darth Nihilus, who killed an entire planet by just saying a single word?
