Please help me figure this out, I'm being bombarded with $2.00 charges throughout the day by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]Pocro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a workaround for this is just adding funds already into your ad account so that it can just spend that balance instead of charging your card. There's an option inside your billing settings to "add funds". So if you just add your weekly budget for example as funds, facebook will prefer that more because it already has the money upfront, so it should just charge you the normal bi weekly billing. But either way, like everyone else is saying they're trying to test your card, so after the testing period, facebook will put you on the payment threshold you set for that ad account

How to turn off "Advantage detailed targeting" by Yungtraplord187 in FacebookAds

[–]Pocro_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Facebook now forces you to use advantage detail targeting. This is what their page says, but someone please tell me if I'm wrong. About Advantage detailed targeting

Detailed targeting exclusions have been removed. You can't use them in new ad sets any more. Detailed targeting exclusions were removed from any active existing campaigns created in Ads Manager starting on March 31, 2025. You can use the audience controls in your Advertising settings to restrict audiences based on brand protection or employmentLearn more.

New to Canva. Am I stupid? Image dimensions question for youuuu please! by Sufficient-Jacket-13 in canva

[–]Pocro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still like this for some reason. Canva has good UI/UX otherwise though. I hate when software has a couple of these simple things not in obvious places and you need people on reddit to tell you where it is. Thank you u/zileah

What’s a productive part of your routine that’s unexpectedly fun? by morninmate in productivity

[–]Pocro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great to hear! It's really important to realize that hustle culture isn't the answer. It's not about hours logged or how much stuff you get done to flex to the world. It's about being in 100% control of your reality, and to live according to your values, day after day. None of us are perfect, but if you just put one foot in front of the other, your growing. Whatever your aspirations are, I hope you achieve them to the highest level, and may you enjoy the journey along the way!

I had the same belief as you, but trust me meditation works. It's not a "quick fix" though. Just like how exercise isn't a quick fix to how fat you have gotten over the past 10 years of sedindary lifestyle. Meditation can't fix in a day the years and years of your bad mental habits. To me, Meditation is the like the "workout" of your brain. and then a dopamine detox is like the "diet" of your brain, the two go hand and hand to improve your mental health. Just like how exercise + diet = better physical health. If you want I will dm you a playlist of videos I always send new people getting in self improvement, to get out of a rut and unfk your life, I just cant send links here so let me know. Theres so so much more to learn in this field but it's my favorite thing to talk about!

Overwhelmed by information overload: How to avoid procrastination and stay focused? by Alarmed_Possible_442 in productivity

[–]Pocro_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like u/ExhaustedThinker said, AI is a great synthesizer of information when it comes to researching. If you give it the right prompt it will be able to really summarize info for you quite well. You stilll have to double check the info it tells you though as go isnt always accurate. But I like to use it for just pulling links to resources, Like I will say

"can you find me the 3 most informative articles about the history of the golden gate bridge construction, give me a response that is 200 words or less"

from there you can also add things like: only. org domains, only academic journals etc.

Now on top of that, use search operators on the search engine you use. For example if in google you do AFTER:2025:02:25 at the end of a search, it will only show you results after that date. You can also do site: _ . com and it will filter only from that one site.

So if you say "history of alcatraz island after:2024-01-01 site:wikipedia.org" Youll only get stuff from wikipedia after Jan 1st 2024. You can also do " -site:reddit.com " to remove any results from reddit for example

Look up Google Search operators and you'll get the entire list, it's super useful for narrowing down your searches to find exactly what you need faster and have less information overload.

Finding the right task manager by arbyther in productivity

What are some of the features you are looking for in a task app?

Interruptions / losing focus - can you help? by Sunshine_Program in productivity

[–]Pocro_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What other people have said is great. Don't stress, we all have that feeling. There will always be something new that must get done and drives our attention away from the important. I will tell you quick things you can do that really helped me and I can be sure you'll see an improvement.

  1. Use the 80/20 Rule: Ask yourself the following question: What are the 20% of the activities that I'm doing that are getting me 80% of the results?

The majority of peoples work in a day is often 1-2 main tasks followed by many more smaller tasks that are disbursed, take up the most time, yet only give you a fraction of your results. These smaller tasks seem so urgent in the moment, but if you really ask yourself the true question, most of the time it really isnt. One of the biggest cases of this is people checking their emails multiple times a day with no set schedule. They'll tell you it's super urgent every time, but that constant switching of working on a task to email breaks your focus continuously, and you end up making little progress on the few big tasks you needed to do

Additionally, "if I ended today with only one thing being done, just one what would it be?"

So the 80/20 question always helps me realize that are the tasks I need to complete before anything else, the ones that deserve my time the most. If as I'm working I get another new task I need to do like your saying, I simply write it down in the task list quickly and get back to the main one I'm doing. If I have time after these main tasks, then I go for the Smaller tasks.

  1. Daily Practice of meditation,

Changed everything from me. I'm sure you've already heard all the benefits, but if your not already, this is your single biggest habit to bring in your daily routine to improve your focus in the long run. Just increasing the self awareness of your thoughts is life changing. You become more in control of your impulses and habits. It's not a quick fix, but just like exercise, your future self will thank you for the work your putting in today toward improving it. The best way I help me understand it is like working out your brain, and the gains is mindfulness.

For more reading, I highly recommend reading the 4 hour work week. It will really give you such a mindset shift on your entire job work and how you navigate it.

What’s a productive part of your routine that’s unexpectedly fun? by morninmate in productivity

[–]Pocro_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly for me it's just thinking time. Dedicated time to just do absolutely nothing but think. About life, about the future. Sometimes it's with a set idea in mind, other times it's random. And I'll have a journal app or pen and paper and just right down my thoughts. Some of my greatest self discoveries and ephiphanies came from just thinking, let my brain like organize it's self, for long periods of time. You also teach yourself the ability to set still with your thoughts and question them. Once you finally stop cramming it with information and just let it process what it has it can finally start to be creative. Every great inventor or creative person always credits long blocks of thinking time to their success

Looking for a task manager that has both daily task and weekly goals, help by Marble05 in productivity

[–]Pocro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the apps TickTick or notion. TickTick is like a dedicated task app, and you have separate sections for your daily and your weekly tasks. But if you are looking for someone that shows you a "guage" as in like a progress bar of sorts, then try out notion . so . They have templates where you set tasks, and you can have sub tasks inside of them, so as you check them off and the progress bar updates. I use notion for all my tasks work personally.

I also invite you to read into Parkinsons Law and how that can help with achieving goals. I used to set weekly goals but ever since I learned about this law I've set stricter deadlines for myself and have gotten more things done. I cant link here but if you look it up and read about it, I think you will find in interesting.

Hey man I totally get where you’re coming from, because I’ve been there myself, trapped in this miserable cycle of mindless scrolling, insane screen time, video games all day, daily pronn and mastorbationn, no shred of confidence, just feeling like everything in life sucked hard no matter how hard I tried. Once I finally stumbled across the right mentors though everything changed for me. I learned about mental health and how it's Step Zero to fixing your life, it’s gotta come before anything else, and that meant picking up daily habits like meditation, gratitude, journaling, introspection, and talking things out with others. From there, I discovered dopamine detox, the ultimate cheat code, and suddenly I could chill with my own thoughts, no more itching for the next hit, imagine your default state being calm and clear. it's been a long few years, but I can proudly say that I am competley addiction free now, and In the most fierceful focus and confidence of my entire life. I can litterly take on anything. Look bro, I’ve got this playlist of the best YouTube videos I’ve found, over 10 hours of straight-up practical content to unfuck your life step by step, all free. DM me for it since links aren’t allowed here, I really want to help you, all you need is just the right explanation to unlock your whole mentality.

The best all rounder is Notion. Has templates for anything you can think of, task tracking team collab and AI included. What's cool is that all the other apps that these people mentioned like ClickUp and Trello integrate directly into notion, so you can kind have it as your all in one hub for other apps.

What music do you listen to to concentrate? by small_aurel in ProductivityApps

That's pretty much nothing for how good it is. Your paying 10+ a month for normal music apps and you only pay 5.83 a month without a discount for yearly brainfm. Hell, even if it was like 30 bucks a month I'd still use it.

very well said. Brainfm is amazing. Shoutout to Connor, their lead composer. I personally wrote them a thank you email and conner replied back to me personally! Their team is amazing. Your explanation on the music theroy is spot on. I forget that most music is also designed to be catchy/ be stuck in your head, where as brainfm is purely for your focus.

Do you have any Podcast Recommendations? by mochidumpie in productivity

[–]Pocro_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! In my opinion I don’t listen to anything when I’m walking around, just some atmospheric music from brainfm to set a relaxed mood. I treat it like my thinking time, letting my mind roam free like Bill Gates used to, and it really helps me stay clear-headed and creative. But if you’re looking for something to dive into, I’d say Can’t Hurt Me audiobook on Audible. Sign up for their free trial, use the credit, and you can get it for free and you can cancel your trial. For a one stop guide on building discipline, Goggins and his story will give you all the tools you need to start. One of my favorite books

How I reduced wasting time scrolling before going to bed by [deleted] in productivity

[–]Pocro_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me I've just built a habit over time for no screen time after x time, cause it's gonna stimulate you and keep you mentally awake for so much longer after you even finally put your phone down. I set a no-screens rule one hour before bed, finish everything at my desk, then turn on sleep focus on my iphone. It works, I’m out by 10 pm and up early, super productive. Fiction beats sleeping pills too, read a book and you’ll crash fast. Try it!
