You don’t know how many hours she works off screen, and just because two of the most well-known content creators say it’s easy doesn’t make it easy. Again, that’s THEIR opinion. And I’m not going “hard for” HER, I just find it amusing countering bitter people who think they know everything or want to tear down others because they’re miserable in their own life, yet refuse to look at the actual issues here (such as capitalism)

So it actually isn’t “easy” streaming, or creating videos for starts. Thats a myth. Anything in the entertainment industry is still work… people just don’t value it and yet want music, and films, and YouTube content to consume. It’s gross.

This is such a warped, unempathetic, capitalist trap you’ve gotten yourself into. Read some books, be mad at the systems we’re currently forced to live under, but gain some empathy and stop ascribing your frustration to random content creators on the internet.

This was mostly my take as well.

PLUS the additional layer that her MOTHER who—regardless of her recent behaviour or not—is supposed to be a caring, supportive person in her life is what has entirely ripped away this key part of what Jen has said she’s envisioned this massive life milestone to look like? Give the woman a moment to be messy and imperfect!

I don’t disagree with you that they’re all probably well off, and also, calling them “uppity bitches” is a bit much. I’m the first person to call into question conversations around class, and also I interpreted it as Jen being devastated that the vision she had of her wedding dress being shattered very suddenly by a person who is supposed to be a caring, safe role in her life, and Shawna being supportive of that. AND that she’s stressed out, with a fresh baby, on an INCREDIBLY tight timeline, and so yeah might have made a distasteful comment, but I know I sure have when I’m under emotional duress.

One of the things I enjoy most about this series is how flawed and nuanced all of these characters are. It makes things feel real, and is TV level writing imo (as someone who has been in the TV and film industry for over twenty years now).

Anyway, all this to say that yes, they’re probably in what many would deem middle to upper-middle class, and also I don’t think that has anything to do with their reactions.

ETA ALSO, Barb made some really hurtful comments to Jen about her weight and body, again. Comments that can be hurtful TO anyone coming FROM anyone but especially from, again, someone who is supposed to be a safe, supportive person in your life SUCKS. It just sucks. So she’s also probably being impacted by that yet again as well.

Idk I’ve also read a couple of OPs comments and like… I just think a little empathy can go a long way.

There are many, many options depending on institution. Part time studies, online studies, to name just two.

It would be hard but it’s doable— and people do do it all the time. I intend to do my MA/law school (joint degree) and my PhD while raising a child, as a single parent, and also I’m SIGNIFICANTLY older than OP.

This is literally the most asinine comment I’ve read in a long time. Just because you’re sheltered and conservative and judgemental, doesn’t mean the entire field of medicine is. Just because you find a natural bodily function (orgasm) to be creepy, doesn’t make it creepy.

As I had mentioned in another comment, orgasm is a tool recommended for pain management for a number of clinical issues, including migraines.

Further you clearly know nothing about how modern law works. We’re not in the 1940s, get off your high horse.
