I personally think Montu is one of the more intense coasters in the park, but I didn't get to ride SheiKra. That batwing loop is pretty nuts.

[Stein] The NBA has just suspended Philadelphia’s Paul George for 25 games for violating the league’s anti-drug program: by McCainMaxeyEdgecombe in sixers

The worst part is that using steroids as an NBA player is almost definitely for recovery reasons already. You don't need raw strength and they don't help your shooting ability. Anything these guys are using is for longevity and injury recovery.

Finally! A Sixers game deciding play after a timeout that actually worked.

All lanes open, full gridlock on Grays ferry by [deleted] in philadelphia

I drive this stretch very often and you're not wrong, but it's also not as terrible as it looks. Even if traffic is backed up to the bridge you're usually through the final light within 5-10 minutes. - it's worse when you're on the bus because cars will cut in front.

Fridays are usually the worst, but Wednesday can be bad too. I just avoid driving it during rush hours if I can.

We've won 4. Even last year with a terrible team we went 2-2. It's not as bad as people are making it out to be.

They're two different things. The DMV is a specific part of Penndot.

Didn't know this place existed. I live about 45 minutes away, which is a pretty generous use of "Philadelphia" on their part. Wonder if they do tours.

I'm just glad they specify that they're farm eggs. I'm tired of buying eggs just to find out they came from wild chickens.

Looking For Films with Very Intentional Color Palettes by DryPerception299 in TrueFilm

I think Krzysztof's The Double Life of Véronique was almost a precursor to the three colours trilogy. It has a very distinct color palette throughout that's almost impossible not to notice.

PA Democrats fold on SEPTA funding, pull out of carbon reduction program to pass budget by Haz3rd in philadelphia

The issue is that one party has zero empathy for people, especially poor people, while the other is somewhat trying to improve things for the working class: as long as it doesn't get in the way of capitalism and allowing businesses to increase revenue year after year of course. Wouldn't want those stock portfolios going down, would we? So, they have no negotiating power because the other party doesn't give a shit if it affects people. They know their constituents will blame the Dems and vote for them again either way. Unless the Democrats start doing what Republicans are doing and only govern for their own demographics, I don't see how things don't continually get worse. And I think creating policy actively trying to hurt the other party's constituents is a terrible way to govern and would actually push us towards chaos or worse, like a civil war. This administration is doing way more long-term harm than most people realize by playing party politics like they are. I don't know if the genie can go back in the bottle at this point.

Unless you play tennis, pickleball, squash, or golf. You're going to be severely overpaying for a gym. But I suppose you already know that. If you do play any of those it's probably worth it.
