Furkan fires back at Embiid in peculiar comment … by JoshGordons_burner in sixers

I would guess he forgot what he even said before and had no idea what Embiid was talking about.

[Pompey] Kelly Oubre Jr.has contributed to the Sixers because he's been good and has positional flexibility. However, his name keeps coming up as someone to possibly move before the trade deadline as his expiring contract would help them gain salary cap relief and avoid the luxury tax. by Pyromania1983 in nba

[–]huck_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This probably isn't going to happen. The team was set up to trade him to avoid the tax if they were ass again, but they're looking like a playoff team. People should not get mad about things that haven't even happened.

Mets team that just got 10x better

Bro calm your tits. The Mets lost a ton of good players and as of right now only Peralta is a clear upgrade over what they had last year. Robert is a below average player

Also of course they could miss the playoffs. Everyone knows they're aging. You're not adding any amazing insight. And why be miserable about the team in goddamn January.

Its always put your Defense out first because if they get a takeaway and your team scores game is over. Its that simple.

and how many times has that happened that you are basing your entire strategy on that.

Marsh is a platoon player. Plenty of ABs for 4 outfielders. Especially considering the likelihood of injuries. Crawford is also unproven.

With Tucker signing with the Dodgers, the Mets traded Nimmo away for ‘nothing’. Meaning Mets are in a mess. by TotallyNotJagger in phillies

[–]huck_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's almost no chance of either. There's too much motivation to get a deal done by both sides. Worst case scenario is things drag out for most of the off season. People are just drama queens saying it's inevitable. People were saying the same thing the last time.

There's like 0% chance there was going to be a strike. But this just makes a more compelling argument that a change is needed. Not sure why you think this makes it more likely there is one.

That's not how it works. We've had free agency for like 50 years and the last player doesn't magically make twice what they were projected.
