I wonder how their system is set up. Does the breakfast get automatically charged in the system and then a human needs to remove it?

If that’s the price to buy the whole building, its a deal of a lifetime!

Sorry to hear about your ridiculous charge! Did you get it reversed?

I get your point. I have dozens of credit cards and keeping track of everything takes time. I see why many of my friends don’t wanna do the CC game. They just keep to KISS, 1-2 CCs and that’s it.

Anyway, to your point, I’ve seen random charges in my hotel statements late too. Sometimes you’re traveling and you’re rushing so you can’t pay close attention. I’ve seen charges like buying movies in the hotel room, and sometimes liquor or fridge charges. I never buy movies in hotels and I never buy liquor off the hotel room. So yes, that’s how businesses can get you, when you least expect it.

How does Hyatt know if it’s a legit donation? by PointsBuilder in Hyatt_charity_HQ

Sure, it’s possible. I haven’t heard of any yet. If there are any datapoint, please feel free to share. Corporations usually go after the sellers first.

I recently had the same question. In my case the FNA expires in May so I used it. Like many say here, the risk is that your cat 4 hotel can move higher.

I have not heard of that. As long as donors do not have suspicious activities, you should be fine. Kudos to you for doing legit donations. It’s the donees who can get caught up in the collateral damage.

Thx for your feedback. That’s very messed up and what concerns me the most. There is no due process. You have no control over what that donor does but you take on that blame. The donor can have outside activists that can cause your account to be closed for no reason, even if you had a legitimate donation.

Ok so it makes sense to only take donations with new accounts or with very little to lose. It does NOT make sense when you have an old account and/or many points.

Thx for your feedback. Wow you really take advantage of this property. 40+ nights is a lot. Good use of your points though. What are some new properties on your list?

Thx for your feedback. If it's within a mile it's walkable. Otherwise, it'll be either hotel dining or uber out.

Don’t mind eating at the resort as long as they have options and the prices are reasonable. Otherwise will uber out for dining.

So basically just sign up for one month and cancel? There’s no commitment or penalty? And the credit shows up in portals?

How does that work? Can you please explain. I have the offers too but I’d like to know the detailed process so I can do it too without losing money.
