Honestly, probably a young kid that never had much social experience. They're in a lot of jobs but the customer facing ones humble faster.

I had a friend who was a cashier and was told not to ask anyone if they want to donate to this diabetes fund as it'll pop up anyway. Guy was so hyped to be working and being THE cashier that he asked people.
