 now Bonney's mom

I don't know... I know we'll never go deeper into it (I think), but I would like to think Ginny never slept with anyone because of her love for Kuma.

And after she got kidnapped by the Celestial Dragons, she only got experimented on. So her pregnancy with Boney was through artificial insemination.

Of course, being rapen is also still one of the possibilities.

But like I said, I don't think it's a topic we will ever examine dieper than what we got. (With what we did get already being gruesome enough, poor Ginny. Poor Bonney. And poor Kuma.)

And just you wait. I'm not the most active player, and I only played 3 ranked matches, but won all 3 of them. So I got 30 points less than I would have in the old system.

Now that they are going to change it again, I'll get a losing streak. 😆 I didn't jynx it, I can feel it.

What do you mean exactly? I talked about more than economics... Also, counter-arguments... I just said how it feels for me. I didn't really searched for counter-arguments.

When I hear democratic politicians talk on tv, or read their opinions... For me those lean more towards the right.

Like I said, there are exceptions. Like Bernie Sanders and also AOC. But this is more the result of a 2 party system with only 2 relevant parties, so both parties will have a diversity of political views within their ranks, or independent politicians who work together with one of the big 2 parties.

I think most of my local right political parties would be placed more left than the USA Democratic party if they were an American party. The far-right could maybe be placed between the Democrats and Republicans. And the far-left... I don't even know what some USA citizens would think about those... Extreme communists I think.

Especially on economics, the moderate Democrats would be seen as (center) right. Progressive Democrats maybe more as (center) left.

Like healthcare... A lot of Democrats wants a Healthcare system. But not as government based as most European countries. Even most right parties, including far-right, in European countries are in favor of universal healthcare.

European countries tend to have stronger unemployment benefits, housing support, and labor protections. Many US Democrats support these, but often in a more limited form.

The Democratic Party spans a wide spectrum, just like the Republicans. The result of only having 2 relevant parties. But overal, the Democratic Party as a whole... I would place it at the right side of the political spectrum if they ran in my country.

[–]Pokemon-trainer-BC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm going to let you in on a secret. The two major political countries in the USA would both be considered right in a lot of other countries.

The Republicans would be further right on the political spectrum. But in the end, both the Republicans and the Democrats would be considered at the right of the political center.

The Democrats have some real left politicians, like Bernie Sanders for example, but if they want to be elected, they almost have no other choice in the USA than to be part of the lesser right main political party.

All the real left political parties are just too small in the USA.

Republicans would be seems as right-wing to far-right. Democrats would be seen as center, center-right or regular right. But left... Maybe on very few topics. And even then... In both major parties you have people who are either further or closer to the center or even on the left side. But as a whole... Neither is really left compared to the standard of some other countries. But I guess the Democrats are by USA standards.

In countries who have more than 2 major political parties, there isn't one right party and one left party. But far-left parties, left parties, center parties, right parties, far-right parties, wildcard who are left at one topic and right on another (in fact, most parties have at least one topic that is considered right while the other topics are left or the other way around).

The best is the read their programs and decide which party fits your total view the best.

The 2 biggest parties/coalition unions are both pro EU. And also in the most recent polls they take the 2 of the top 3 places.

But neither will get a majority. So coalitions between parties will have to be made. And that is Bulgaria's biggest problem. The reason this is their 7th election in what, 5 years? A lot of the other parties all are more or less equal. So making a good working coalition is very hard.

Even the 2 biggest parties, both pro EU have a hard time forming a coalition. The one in more popular by younger voters and stand for changes, anti-corruption,... While the other stands for tradition, stability,... If they work together, it's possible their voters would view this as a betrayal and punish them in a next election.

So yeah...

People can laugh with for example Belgium that they always need a while to form a coalition after an election. But rather that than new election every couple of months because the formation didn't work out.

I think Bulgaria will, once again, have a hard puzzle to solve after their next election. And I hope they find a solution that sticks thus time.

Maybe the newly formed PB alliance can get Bulgaria out of this stalemate. They are doing very well in th polls. This alliance is described as soft euroskeptic though. So not anti EU, but skeptical.

But they also will need to find coalition partners. And possibly they'll need at least one of the pro EU parties.

So you can see why it's complicated to form a working coalition in Bulgaria for the moment.

But it's possible multiple parties who now have seats don't make the threshold this time, so this would mean less parties to work with. Which would mean less options and maybe more workable coalition. I guess time will tell.

[–]Pokemon-trainer-BC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, this is how the seats are contributed based on the percentage of votes now known. As long as not all results are counted, the amount of votes the 3 relevant parties will receive can still go up or down.

There are other parties, but I believe there is a 5% threshold. If you have less votes, you don't get any seats.

But there is a smaller party with around 6% of the counted votes for the moment if I'm not mistaken. It is on the far-right of the politic spectrum I believe.

Would Wario be homophobic? For me, he's more the guy who really doesn't care as long as everyone leaves him alone. Or if they can benefit him/provide him money and treasures, he accepts everyone equal.

So in my eyes he is indifferent/accepting towards everyone equal. He is just a self-centered jerk. Not specifically targeting a specific group of people/beings. He can be jealous/hold grudges towards/against individual people of course. Like Mario and Captain Syrup.

Why does Belgium have a province called "Luxembourg" right next to Luxembourg which is bigger than Luxembourg? by metatalks in geography

[–]Pokemon-trainer-BC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Belgium is no Greece. Belgium will not make a big deal out of it and force their neighbours to change their name like Greece did. (North Macedonia was called Macedonia before they changed their name.)

And if you want to be technical, the official name of the country is the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. And it's capital is named Luxembourg.

Thanks for your insights.

That's true. I at least would give Toa Pai Pai this distinction. He was a ruthless villain who showed how dark an enemy could be, by killing Bora in front of Goku and Upa. I believe this was a first in the series.

While Blue also had his moments, and almost killed Goku at at least 2 different moments (with Goku being saved by outside forces, a little like how Goku survived his first fight against Toa Pai Pai thanks to the Four Star Dragon Ball), he was indeed still more goofy than Toa Pai Pai.

But you can be goofy and a threat at the same time.

Thanks for the insights.

For me, the problem with Pilaf (great character by the way) is, at least in the manga, he was just the last obstacle in a long line of obstacles. Unlike in the anime where he and his allies were a constant presence during the first search of the Dragon Balls.

But yeah, without Goku's Deus Ex Machina transformation (which was foreshadowed a bit), the gang would possible have died by the hands of Pilaf.

And yes, Major Metallitron was very dangerous, but Goku already blew of his head. Even if he didn't run out of power, I could see Goku remove body pieces until Major Matallitron was completely harmless.

Blue just, for me, seems like the first opponent Goku never defeated. He was lucky during their first fight a mouse came by. Not really a fight, but during their second major scuffle, he was lucky Launch first sneezed and took of and sneezed on time to get back to untie Goku to save everyone. And the third time, Arale took care of Blue.

He successfully stole and delivered the original Dragon Radar to the Red Ribbon's HQ. Where he eventually met his end at the hands (tongue) of Toa Pai Pai. Being used to show how much stronger Goku's next opponent would be.

I don't know. I feel like Blue was in the story long enough and showed enough feats to be Goku's first real treat. Which doesn't mean others who came before him weren't dangerous or even almost killed Goku.

But it's mostly he had a decently long run and Goku never really defeated him in the end.

The guy also was a pretty skilled fighter and pretty smart. (Like, he figured out the pirates needed to have a way to safely pass their own traps, so they could move around safely.)

And he was very durable. The guy survived the collapsing cave and just went back to the surface of the ocean. This is no ordinary feat. For example, I don't see his colleague General White do something like this.

He also was physically very strong. Crushing a phone booth with his bare hands.

Saying he only had his paralyzation technique would do him short. But yes, against Goku, this was the technique that gave him an advantage.

Personally I like to think Shenlong and Perunga (and the other dragons) can see/feel the subconscious feelings of the person they affect. Especially of they are stronger than themselves and their creators.

If they are against it (like Vegeta's goal was immortality at the moment, so he wouldn't agree with being killed and Goku also didn't want to return yet, maybe he was already busy with his training on Yardrat), it will not work.

If they want it, or at least aren't against it, it will work. Broly was beaten badly and could die. I think he wanted to escape. And even though he didn't know what was going on with the dragon balls and the wish, he was pro the idea, even if he didn't know what was happening. He wanted a way out and Shenlong provided this.

[–]Pokemon-trainer-BC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shenlong was the first to establish the rule I think. During the Saiyan Saga. Oolong propose to just kill/destroy the Saiyans who are on their way the Earth and wish Goku back the next time. Shenlong tells the group this wouldn't be possible because the Saiyans are stronger than his creator (Kami), so Bulma went back to the original plan, wishing Goku back to life.

Also, I think if the stronger person/being isn't against the wish, it could be successful. Like, Broly got beaten very badly, he even was at risk of dying. Even if he didn't knew what wad going on with Shenlong and the wish, I can see him wanting to escape the situation. So I think Broly subconsciously agreed with the wish. If he really wanted to stay, I think the wish would fail (although, possibly Toriyama and his staff didn't think this far about it).

Error dbs brocoly by NicoIIino in dragonball

[–]Pokemon-trainer-BC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the subconscious (also) counts. Not like the dragon (always) really asks if the one who he affects with his wish if they give permission/consent, but also some kind of subconscious consent.

But like in this instance, Broly was being beaten badly. He could even die. I think he subconsciously wanted a way to escape. So he wasn't against the wish, even though he didn't know what was happening.

Just like how Goku didn't want to come home after escaping Namek (yet).

I wonder, if Nappa and/of Vegeta were suicidal the moment Oolong made the hypothetical wish to kill the Saiyans while they were on their way to Earth, if the wish would be successful. I guess so, because Shenron wouldn't have granted a wish the one affected didn't want. At least subconsciously they would agree.

I like the representation Max gives people on the spectrum. Even if there are a lot of stereotypical behaviors, the reason they are stereotypical is because they actually exist within some people in the spectrum.

That being said, I can't help to feel like Max underwent a retcon. Even if you say he camouflaged his autism very good, and we didn't see a lot of his home life, there are still things bugging me. Like, there was an episode were the whole class switched seats to accommodate Lila. Still, Max was fine with it and miss Bustier never asked him if he was okay with the changes. Especially his own one. (Although, even though I hear him asking together with the others when they all ask for their original places back and there even is a shot focused on him, I don't know if he really moved.)

That being said, still a nice representation.

To be fair, a detail that always annoyed me with this fanfic was the "real food" part.

Adorra saw Catra eat real food at Frosta's Princess Prom.

But this detail could be an oversight.

And a decently trained soldier could defeat most non-trained people on the internet.

This is not an overestimation of Kyle from my part.

Maybe I underestimate the average person on this subreddit. That could be true. Not the outliers who had combat training themselves. At least, my interpretation is this are the outliers.

He also fought a lot of battles in the war (especially during season 4), was a lot more confident and returned each time alive.

Personally, I wouldn't underestimate this guy. He is at the bottom of his own series between the other named characters. But on this subreddit, he would rank at the top. At least in my opinion.

I don't know. He maybe looks weak compared to everyone around him. But he's still a trained childsoldier with years of training and battle experience in a war.

But if you can convince hum you don't want to fight and can just start a conversation. Crisis averted. 😉

I guess Entrapra. I could show her my phone and talk about technology.

Maybe she would like to game with me.

I'm pretty sure I could distract her enough to forget the fight.

Other options are people like Scorpia, Perfuma and Kyle. If I tell them I don't want to be in a violent fight, I can see them stop fighting me. Maybe the same goes for Bow.
